'Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor' (ALL) The Bright Lord DLC Announced

by Rainier on Feb. 19, 2015 @ 7:36 a.m. PST

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is a third-person action game set in Middle-earth that explores an original story of vengeance and redemption.

In Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, gamers take on the role of Talion, a valiant ranger whose family is slain in front of him the night Sauron and his army return to Mordor, moments before his own life is taken. Resurrected by a Spirit of vengeance and empowered with Wraith abilities, Talion ventures into Mordor and vows to destroy those who have wronged him.  Through the course of his personal vendetta, Talion uncovers the truth of the Spirit that compels him, learns the origins of the Rings of Power and ultimately confronts his true nemesis.

Every enemy that players face is a unique individual, differentiated by their personality, strengths and weaknesses. Through the Nemesis System, enemy relationships and characteristics are shaped by player actions and decisions to create personal archenemies that remember and adapt to the player and are distinct to every gameplay session. Gamers are able to craft their own battles, enemies and rewards within the dynamic world that remembers and adapts to their choices, delivering a unique experience to every player.

Play as Celebrimbor, the great Elven smith of the Second Age, and battle against Sauron and the might of his forces

From the moment of its creation, The One Ring was a blazing beacon of unveiled power. The instant it was upon the finger of the Dark Lord, all of the Wise became aware of Sauron's treachery and there was war.

Sauron's armies took Eregion and he dragged Celebrimbor back to Mordor. The Elf-lord was forced to apply all his Art, and all he had learned at the side of the Necromancer, to mask the blinding power of The One with subtlety. His role in bringing such evil to Middle-earth doomed the spirit of Celebrimbor to remain in Mordor until such time as he can confront his nemesis and find redemption.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor The Bright Lord DLC is said to be the final piece of content and will add 10 new missions, a new challenge mode, new Celebrimbor skin (campaign) & abilities (teleport, invisibility, AoE), and an Elite Orc Army which will provide a greater challenge to the player. Warchiefs and Nemesis enemies have been re-balanced with a greater variety of abilities.

The The Bright Lord DLC will be available for purchase and free to Season Pass holders next month
