'Color Guardians' (ALL) Announced - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Feb. 26, 2015 @ 2:24 p.m. PST

Color Guardians is a side-scrolling action game that challenges players to navigate a series of increasingly difficult stages while dodging hazards and changing their own color on the fly.

In Color Guardians, the world has been robbed of its color by the thief Krogma, and it’s up to the three Guardians – Rod, Lia, and Grock – to restore it. Players must guide the Guardians through dozens of challenging, puzzling levels to spread life back to the universe, managing several facets of gameplay at once. Not only must the Guardians jump and dodge incoming hazards and obstacles, they must also switch between three “lanes” of running along the world’s Z-axis… while also swapping their own colors on the fly to match the world around them. Color Guardians brings together simple game mechanics in a unique combination to provide an experience all its own.

Key Features:

  • A New Combination: Simple mechanics come together in a game that is easy to learn but challenging to master; jump, switch lanes, and swap colors to stay ahead of the stages
  • Colorful Characters: Restore color to the Guardians’ universe across dozens of worlds and over 70 challenging stages, realized in beautiful graphic detail
  • Ever-growing Challenges: Hunt through stages for hidden unlockables including music, art, character models and more; challenge friends’ scores on the leaderboards and improve your performance, and earn your way up to a Platinum Trophy on PlayStation platforms!
