'Flame Over' (ALL) Coming To PS4 Next Week - Trailer

by Rainier on Sept. 10, 2015 @ 6:02 p.m. PDT

In Flame Over you guide a firefighter through the sixteen floors of Infernal Industries' skyscraping HQ, exploring your environment, seeking out loot, secrets and power ups and hunting down blazes against the clock.

As you guide Blaze through this mazelike building on your quest to put out this deadly inferno and save the day, you’ll move through 4 different zones each with their own unique features and hazards.

Flame Over’s core gameplay involves using equipment such as your mini-map, thermometer and fire fighting gear to seek out and extinguish the fires on each floor of the Infernal Industries building, in a race to complete each level before time runs out.

You can boost your chances by buying powerups and rescuing the stranded workers and cats left behind on each floor.

All levels in Flame Over are fully destructible and feature items that the fire is able to spread to and consume. The fire can also create backdrafts and unstoppable walls of flame, along with a host of other dangers. By mastering the fire and its hazards you may hope to defeat the inferno and get to the top of the game’s Leaderboards with a truly epic Time or Cash score that will be the envy of your fellow gamers.

Key Features:

  • A multi-layered random level generator so the player can never 'learn' the best way through each level. Like a real firefighter you'll be walking into the unknown every time! Each level has its own theme, room types, fuel objects, mini missions, secrets and victims to rescue.
  • Play as Blaze Carruthers, London's foremost firefighting hero, who will be discovering each level's layout, using his trusty hose, extinguisher and fire axe to track down blazes, hack through doors and walls and rescue imperilled workers and - of COURSE - save cutesy cats.
  • With no two playthroughs ever the same, players can also save out their favourite levels, set Challenges and share them with their friends other players worldwide using Near.
  • You will also be able to fuel the flame war using more traditional Cash Dash and Time Attack leaderboards.
  • Flame Over on PC will include the following new features:
    • Keyboard & Mouse support (of course! J)
    •  Control mapping
    • A handy Fire Drill tutorial mode and in-game tutorial messages
    • If killed by the Grim Reaper, Blaze’s ghost will stay on the level he died, allowing you to regain your cash and powerups
    • A host of secrets, rare rooms and Easter eggs, to ensure that no two playthroughs are the same
    • Rebalanced difficulty, fireball spreading and other tweaks to core gameplay for the ultimate Flame Over experience
    • Extra time deducted from your total run time, enabling speed runners to post even better times

Flame Over is currently available as digital download on Steam/Vita, and will be available on PS4 for £8.99 / €11.99 / $11.99.
