Using ZeniMax Online’s Megaserver technology, players will join one connected world with a built in social network that lets them stay up-to-date with everything their friends are doing. Megaserver technology avoids the hassle of shard selection and makes The Elder Scrolls Online one of the most socially enabled games ever created.  Whether playing alone, or with hundreds of friends, players can develop their own style of play as they embark upon an epic quest across Tamriel.

The Elder Scrolls Online is offering an extended Free Play Weekend starting tomorrow for PS4 and PC/Mac players, running through November 20th.

The North American PS4 Free Play Weekend will begin at 12:01 am US eastern time tomorrow. PlayStation Plus is not required to participate. The PC and Mac Free Play Weekend on Steam will begin at 1 pm eastern time tomorrow. Information on a Free Play Weekend for Xbox One will be revealed soon.

As always, there is no subscription required to play The Elder Scrolls Online.  Players simply need to download the game, create an account, and begin their adventures in Tamriel. The Free Play Weekend will include:

• No Restrictions: Access to the full The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game
• Free Crowns: 500 Crowns to spend in the Crown Store on fun costumes, unique pets, helpful scrolls, and more
• Progress Retention: Any characters created, Crown Packs purchased, or Crown Store items bought, as well as any progress made during the Free Play Weekend, will carry over if the player purchases the game
• Win a “Trip of a Lifetime”: Free Play Weekend players will also qualifyto enter the Trip of a Lifetime Giveaway, which offers the chance to win one of five incredible trips to exotic locations around the world, with full accommodations, meals, and exciting adventure excursions with expert local guides. In celebration of the Free Play Weekend on PS4 and PC/Mac, Bethesda will offer discounts through November 28 in North America on Crown Packs as well as all versions of the game, including The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game and The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Edition, which includes all four major DLC game packs: Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood.

PlayStation 4 players should navigate to The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited on the PlayStation Store to download the game starting at 12:01 am US eastern time tomorrow. Players on PC and Mac should download the game via Steam starting at 1 pm eastern time tomorrow. Once the game is downloaded and players have created an account, they can login and play immediately.
