Beginning Wednesday at 12:01 am US eastern time, The Elder Scrolls Online will launch an extended Free Play Weekend on Xbox One, running through the holiday weekend until November 28th. With the recent launch of One Tamriel introducing worldwide level-scaling, this is a perfect opportunity for Xbox One ESO veterans to introduce their friends and family to Tamriel and play together over the Thanksgiving weekend – no “alts” required.

The Xbox One Free Play Weekend will begin at 12:01 am US eastern time Wednesday, November 23 and will end at 11:59 pm US eastern time on Sunday, November 27.

As always, there is no subscription required to play The Elder Scrolls Online.  Players simply need to download the game, create an account, and begin their adventures in Tamriel. The Free Play Weekend will include:

• No Restrictions: Access to the full The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game
• Free Crowns: 500 Crowns to spend in the Crown Store on fun costumes, unique pets, helpful scrolls, and more
• Progress Retention: Any characters created, Crown Packs purchased, or Crown Store items bought, as well as any progress made during the Free Play Weekend, will carry over if the player purchases the game
• Win a “Trip of a Lifetime”: Free Play Weekend players will also qualifyto enter the Trip of a Lifetime Giveaway, which offers the chance to win one of five incredible trips to exotic locations around the world, with full accommodations, meals, and exciting adventure excursions with expert local guides. In celebration of the Free Play Weekend on Xbox One, Bethesda will offer discounts through November 28 on Crown Packs as well as all versions of the game.  The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game will be discounted for several hours prior to and following the Free Play Weekend (during Free Play Weekend, Tamriel Unlimited will not be available for sale).  The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Edition, which includes all four major DLC game packs: Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood, will be discounted throughout the Free Play Weekend.

Xbox One players should navigate to The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited on the Xbox Live Store to download the game starting at 12:01 am US eastern time Wednesday. Once the game is downloaded and players have created an account, they can login and play immediately.
