'Tom Clancy's The Division' (ALL) Survival DLC On PC Test Server - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Nov. 8, 2016 @ 11:16 a.m. PST

The Division is an online, open-world RPG where you explore the once-familiar streets and landmarks of the Big Apple, now decimated by looting and overrun by clans that will do anything to survive.

During the Dark Winter crisis, there is a new tide of chaos rising from the underworld of New York City. In this first paid expansion, Underground, dive into the underbelly of New York with up to three friends to save what remains. Explore the randomly generated mazes of subways, tunnels, and sewers to fight deadly enemies and recover powerful loot. Experience an all-new incursion and find the latest weapons, gear and more.

From now to November 13, The Division development team will be giving all PC Division owners a chance to test out free content coming in the 1.5 update, and if you own The Division Season Pass, you’ll get access to Survival – the next major content expansion for The Division that tasks you and 23 other Agents with finding a cure for the pandemic while trying to survive harsh conditions and deal with a new threat, the Hunters.

In this new expansion, players will face extreme conditions after their chopper is taken down by a snowstorm. As Division agents, they have information about a potential cure for the pandemic and they will need to be extracted from the Dark Zone. Finding warm clothes, supplies, food, water and medicine will be vital to their success. However, the environment is not the only danger out there; players must also be aware of 23 other agents and face off against the Hunters, a new mysterious and deadly enemy who is always one step ahead of them.

But what about those 23 other Agents? Survival gives you the option to engage them in either player versus player (PvP) or player versus environment (PvE) modes. In PvP, the traditional “going Rogue” mechanic isn’t in play, but any one of those other 23 Agents can still fight against you, or cooperate with and help you. In PvE, meanwhile, PvP is completely disabled (even inside the Dark Zone), encouraging full cooperative play.

Key Features:

  • New Underground Mode: An Underground war rages in the claustrophobic confines of New York's underbelly! Explore the randomly generated mazes of subways, tunnels and sewers to fight deadly enemies and recover powerful loot. Push yourself and your team further down into never ending and unpredictable end-game content. New challenges, new progression and new rewards await beneath the streets of New York. The Underground environment will test players' combat skills in new ways.
  • New Incursion: Dragon's Nest: The biggest incursion to-date takes place in Hell's Kitchen. Cleaners have been working on the ultimate weapon to cleanse the streets of New York, regardless of civilian presence. Their plans will affect the Base of Operations if not stopped.
  • New Free Heroic Mode: Beat Falcon's Lost and Clear Sky in the hardest challenge yet. And for those who have bought Underground, Dragon's Nest will also be available in this mode.
  • New Challenge Mode Missions and Items: Experience Hudson Yard and Queen's Tunnel in challenge mode, for better rewards. This expansion also comes with new gear sets and weapon types.
    • B.L.I.N.D. – Control the battlefield with an improved Pulse skill and flashbangs with this hybrid gear set.
    • DeadEYE – Dictate long-range engagements with powerful critical strikes or accurate headshots.
    • FireCrest – Set enemies ablaze with this offensive gear set.
    • Reclaimer – Boost the entire group with this ultimate support set.
