The upcoming Western release will differ in many ways from the already launched Russian and Korean services, such as the game's balancing, progression and monetization model.

Pre-order holders can still reserve their names ahead of launch, and anyone can enjoy Black Desert Online’s highly detailed Character Creator, downloadable for free, with the option of importing their creations in both the closed Beta test and the full game when it releases on March 3, 2016. The Character Creator will be available up until the 22nd of February, 0800 UTC.
