The FIM Speedway World Championships are the pinnacle of world speedway and crown the individual World Champion each year. In 2015 there are twelve rounds in the SGP series - three rounds are held in Poland, two in Sweden, two in Denmark, one in Prague, Finland, Latvia, and the Czech Republic. The UK hosts the series’ flagship event, the British FIM Speedway Grand Prix, at the famous home of Welsh rugby, the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff. The winner will be crowned at the Etihad stadium in Melbourne in October at the Australian FIM Speedway Grand Prix.
The latest production of speedway focuses on the most important and prestigious speedway competition – The Grand Prix, which determines the individual World Champion. This title was produced under license by BSI Speedway Limited, so players have a full bench of riders that qualified for the 2015 season – with stars such as Tai Woffinden, Greg Hancock, Jaroslaw Hampel or Nicki Pedersen.
In FIM Speedway Grand Prix 15 the player will need use their skills and tactics in the fight for the title of World Champion in all the events and stadiums of the 2015 Grand Prix season. From Toruń Poland, through to Cardiff Wales, Målilla Sweden and right through to Melbourne Australia. Fighting for top trophies, players will have to adopt the right strategy throughout the season, such as managing their bike repairs and changing their motorcycle settings during the race.
In the game players will hear renowned speedway commentators and can partake in the multiplayer mode for up to 4 players simultaneously. Powerful and loud engines, high speed, tremendous power and no brakes, tight shoulder-to-shoulder racing, cheering crowds, clouds of shale and dirt – that’s what FIM Speedway Grand Prix 15 is all about.
FIM Speedway Grand Prix 15 has received a major free update (numbered 1.2.0), which was created according to player opinions expressed on the game’s Steam community hub and official webpage.
The update is focused on the multiplayer aspect of the game and introduces the following improvements:
- New method of multiplayer match-making. Now it’s easier to find players in the Quick Race and Single Event modes.
- New players can now join an on-going heat or event and watch the competition in spectator mode while they wait to participate in the next heat/event.
- Thanks to revamped invitations, the multiplayer mode is now more open and easier to navigate. The time-frame for joining matches has also been lengthened.
- A chat has been added, which can be activated by a player-defined key. Players can comment no matter if they are riders or spectators - it is now possible to comment races live, discuss which track to choose, and so on.
- Connection stability for multiplayer has been improved.
