'World of Tanks' (ALL) PS4 Update Adds Over a Dozen New Tanks, New Maps - Trailer

by Rainier on March 2, 2016 @ 10:25 p.m. PST

In World of Tanks Modern Armor player teams are fighting action-packed PvP battles, featuring more than 150 armored fighting vehicles from the pre-WW2 era up to the Korean War.

The next target for World of Tanks is PS4, bringing a slew of new features to the battle. Complete DUALSHOCK4 functionality means players will feel, hear and touch the battle like never before by incorporating light bar and controller speaker capabilities, as well as touchpad support. World of Tanks on PS4 will also support other key platform features, including Share Play and Vita Remote Play, as well as revamped controls designed to optimize the handheld experience. Exclusive to the  PS4, for a limited time only, are two new maps.

Most excitingly, World of Tanks on PS4 is free to all PlayStation account holders with no Playstation Plus membership needed in order to play. Gamers who have PS Plus membership, however, will gain access to a number of exclusive benefits and items, including a free premium tank with exclusive camouflage, three days of Premium Account time and special discounts on other purchases.

Join the thrill of the hunt with the new “Wolfpack” content update arriving to World of Tanks on PS4.

On March 8, nine Soviet and nine German light and medium tanks will be added along with three new maps. Additionally, on March 4, the highly anticipated US M6A2E1 “Mutant 6,” a hybrid of American heavy tanks, will be available in the in-game store for a limited time.

Making their debut to the PS4 battlefield are 18 light and medium Soviet and German tanks. These vehicles, including the A-44, Obj.140, Pz. II G, VK 30.02 D and Leopard 1 are adept at flanking their opponents when hunting as a pack to overwhelm the enemy from every direction. The Wolfpack update has also added three new maps to PS4 including the mountain trails of Severogorsk, offering excellent sniping opportunities, Tundra with a versatile brawling battlefield, and Dragon Ridge with endless routes and angles of attack.
