Rock Band 4 delivers the ecstatic rush of a live full-band game experience like never before. Rock Band 4 builds on the core gameplay people love, with brand new features, including game-changing Freestyle Guitar Solo gameplay that allows players to craft their own face-melting and truly original guitar solos.
In addition to a killer on-disc soundtrack, Rock Band 4 will support over 2000 tracks released since the 2007 launch of the original Rock Band, accounting for more than 500 of rock music’s most legendary artists.
With the recent turmoil over at Mad Catz, Rock Band 4 developer Harmonix has video game accessories manufacturer Performance Designed Products.
“As we look to fully achieve our goal of creating this console generation’s category-defining music gaming platform, we need to partner with a truly world-class manufacturer that can operate at the scale that Rock Band requires. PDP has a well-deserved reputation for innovation, customer satisfaction, and quality. They have the logistical and technical expertise to support Harmonix’s ambitious plans for the future of Rock Band, with new hardware alongside a major Rock Band 4 feature update coming this Fall,“ said Steve Janiak, Harmonix CEO.
“Rock Band is the premier music platform for console players,” said Chris Richards, CEO, PDP. “This will be a great partnership and gaming fans should get ready to experience new, innovative hardware products for Rock Band 4 and Rock Band VR.”
Rock Band 4 continues to expand and evolve, with 5 free title updates already delivered since launching last October, and ongoing frequent updates planned. Harmonix also recently announced a Fig campaign for a PC port of Rock Band 4.
