“Gears of War 4” marks the beginning of an epic new saga for one of gaming’s most celebrated franchises, as a new band of heroes rises to confront a fearsome new threat. Harkening back to the dark and intense roots of the original classic, fans can expect a familiar, yet distinct evolution of gameplay, including brutal and intimate action, a heart-pounding campaign, genre-defining multiplayer and stunning visuals powered by Unreal Engine 4.

Next week, on Monday, April 25, the Gears of War 4 Versus Multiplayer Beta will open up to all Xbox Live Gold members. To get fans ready for the fight, Xbox and The Coalition released a brand-new trailer today features tons of intense COG vs Swarm action.

In addition to showing off the new cast of characters in Versus Multiplayer combat, the trailer also shows brand-new weapons, maps, modes and executions being put to the test – all set to the DJ Shadow and Run the Jewels’ new track, “Nobody Speak.”

Fans attending PAX East this weekend will also have the opportunity to learn more about Gears of War 4’s Versus Multiplayer during the “Out of the Shadows: Inside Gears of War Multiplayer with The Coalition” panel on Sunday, 10:30 AM PDT in the Albatross Theater and streamed live on the official Gears of War Twitch channel. Even if you’re not attending PAX East, you should tune in tomorrow for the Gears eSports ESL Pro League Season 2 Grand Finals. Denial, DreamTeam, EnvyUs, and Notorious will battle it out for $60,000 in front of a live crowd at PAX East in Boston.
