'Among the Sleep' (ALL) Creeping To Xbox One This Week

by Rainier on May 31, 2016 @ 10:00 p.m. PDT

Among the Sleep is a first-person horror adventure where you play as a two-year-old. You’re vulnerable, scared, and trying to make sense of the world.

It explores horror through atmosphere and exploration, not with scores and combat systems.

Merging a child’s perception of reality with its wild imagination provides an interesting setting to tell a story. With only your teddy bear as a companion, we hope players will unravel what is actually causing the fear and confusion. There might be threats hiding in every shadow, but there’s no traditional combat. Instead of fighting, players will actively have to find places to hide in the environment, and avoid confrontation to survive.

Regarding the environmental interaction, it's physics based, so you’ll be able to push, pull and climb objects to reach places, open and close doors, make a staircase out of drawers, peek around corners, carry and place small objects, and the list goes on.

On June 3, you will be able to play as a two-year-old child in the creepy, dark world of Among the Sleep. You wake up one night and find the house all dark and empty. Empty, that is, until you find a talking teddy bear that tells you that something bad is going on. It is up to you to traverse the darkness, explore the nightmare-like places, and find out what is happening.

The Xbox One edition will include exclusive selectable pajamas for the toddler! This means you get to choose which pajamas to wear, with no download and no charge. You can dress the toddler in a unicorn motif – or maybe you want a bear? You can even dress in a very special Xbox One themed onesie!
