'Neverwinter' (ALL) Finally Coming To PS4 This Summer - Trailer

by Rainier on June 2, 2016 @ 5:17 p.m. PDT

In Neverwinter, players choose to become one of five classic D&D classes and team up with friends or NPCs to form five-person co-op groups. Players also create their own storylines and quests utilizing a user-friendly content generation system.

Players explore the vast city of Neverwinter and its surrounding countryside, learning the vivid history of the iconic city and battling its many enemies. In Neverwinter, players can create their own quests and campaigns with the Foundry, a powerful content creation tool that allows players to seamlessly integrate their adventures in to the live game world.

They might not be the most pleasant-looking creatures, but they are definitely a fierce bunch of savage and bloodthirsty warriors. By plaguing the civilized races, Orcs have always been a major threat to humans, elves and dwarfs. Laying claim to the area in the northern half of the old Tower District, Orcs have made the Cloak Tower in Neverwinter their home. Even the most courageous heroes will have to fight their way through the ruins of this district to put an end to the Orc domination and help restore Neverwinter to her former glory.

Originally announced in 2014, Neverwinter is finally coming to PS4 later this summer.

Set along the iconic Sword Coast, Neverwinter transports players into a fully realized roleplaying experience based on Wizards of the Coast’s storied franchise with a living world and immersive fantasy storylines, all for free.

When it arrives on PS4, Neverwinter will feature all existing content from the base game, including eight playable classes and nine expansions. This includes the game’s latest update, The Maze Engine, allowing players to experience the latest Dungeons & Dragons adventures with their friends. Neverwinter on PS4 will be free-to-play for all console owners (PlayStation®Plus not required) and features controls optimized to incorporate the DualShock 4’s touchpad and Party Chat integration.

Neverwinter on PS4 secures Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic’s place on consoles,” said Bryan Huang, CEO for Perfect World Entertainment. “Our goal with Neverwinter has always been to deliver a high-quality, D&D MMORPG that exceeds our players’ expectations. As the PlayStation Nation makes their way through the Forgotten Realms, we look forward to expanding the Neverwinter experience with our upcoming expansion, Storm King’s Thunder, and beyond.”

Neverwinter is currently available on PC and is free to play digitally on Xbox One with Gold from the Xbox Games Store.
