Set in the near future, RIGS is a PlayStation VR, title where players pilot giant, mechanized athletic fighting machines known as RIGS. These challengers, and their teams, will compete in stunning, purpose-built RIGS Arenas located in major cities all around the world.

Building on the FPS skill set that Guerrilla is renowned for, RIGS delivers a new take by adding sophisticated and athletic fighting machinery and competitive sports. As a launch title for PlayStation VR, RIGS delivers a unique VR experience and a fully realised sense of presence for the player.

RIGS is built to deliver a deep and engaging experience on PlayStation VR. With multiple game modes and hero RIGS at their disposal, players will be able to adapt their approach to fit their personal playstyle and team’s tactics.

Looking back on the development of Rigs, I can see how far we’ve come — from the very first dreams of what it would feel like to pilot a “mech” to Shuhei giggling with joy when his RIG was destroyed and he was ejected skywards in VR… and that was all more than a year ago now, well before we’d revealed the game at E3 2015. And before we had a seven-hour queue of people in Paris waiting to play our game (Yes, our game!), before we’d seen the reaction on the faces of thousands of people playing a competitive game in VR for the first time.

20 TBs of builds later, we’ve recorded 9,114 lines of dialogue in each of 11 languages (That’s 100,254 lines of dialogue!), raised 8,748 bugs and more than 1.3 million changelists, and let’s not forget about the six weddings and 10 babies that we’ve celebrated along the way!

Now we stand almost on the eve of launch. As I type, the Gold Master is being pressed and very soon will be shipped around the globe to give so many more people their very first experience of PS VR and the promise that it holds.

• Single Player Career Mode - A compelling single player experience will push your skills to the limit against fierce AI competition. Following the single player mode will grant you access to new and more powerful RIGS that can be used online as you progress.
• Online Multiplayer - Choose your team and RIG and take to the field in an intense online multiplayer match. Play for fame and fortune in the Mechanized Combat League.
• Multiple battle-ready RIGS - Jump into the action by piloting one of four distinct classes of RIG each with their own characteristics. Each RIG is affiliated with a team that provides unique special abilities that will make them handle and play totally differently from other RIGS from the same class.
• Unique Arenas and challenging game modes - With multiple exciting game arenas and modes, RIGS is packed with variety. Each arena has its own unique challenges and a different tactical approach will be needed for each game mode.
