The very first The Settlers game was released in 1993 for Amiga-PC and later ported for MS-DOS. So far seven main games and multiple adaptions have been released including the very successful browser game The Settlers Online. Until now more than nine million copies have been sold.

The Excelsior Update brings new content to all players of the acclaimed free-to-play browser game based on the famous strategy game series “The Settlers”.

The Excelsior is an airship controlled by the fearless adventurer Captain Sonya Graham who makes a visit to the players’ kingdom. The ship is filled with ancient artefacts and data that players can gain access to by undertaking new quests and adventures. Additionally, by using the new resource Crystals, players will be able to generate text parts in the Forge of Truth. Once combined, these text parts will unveil unique stories in the form of:

• Letters which activate new quests;
• Travel Guides which award ventures, a new type of adventure that combines Scenarios and military combat adventures;
• Fairytale Books which reward a campaign based on famous fairy tale novels.

Completing the adventures and quests will grant players all kinds of rewards including a new epic work yard, new industrial mines, new buffs and much more.
