Putty Pals is a perfect fit for the Switch: it features on-the-couch co-op action for two friends using a Joy-Con each, and they need to communicate well if they want to succeed.
Players control two little balls of colorful putty who have been carried far from home by a terrible storm. To get back home, they will need to bounce across obstacles, link hands to swing across chasms, and cooperatively trampoline each other to new heights. Along the way they will explore a cute and whimsical world of vibrant colors and tricky hazards, including explosive Mount Puttuvius and frozen Puttarctica.
The Nintendo Switch release also debuts an entirely new game world, a land of sunshine, beaches, and jungles called Puttazon. It will be explored by two new pals: pink and purple. This new set of levels brings Putty Pals up to 28 full-sized levels and 25 unlockable mini-levels and time trials, so there is plenty of fun cooperative action to share.
Creative director Laura Voss said: “We’re so excited about this release. Harmonious is still a very new studio, and to get the chance to make our console debut so soon is a dream come true. We feel like our values really line up with the things people associate with the Nintendo brand: colour and fun, family-friendliness, socialising and cooperation. Basically it’s a match made in heaven.”
Studio director Joe Park added: “It’s incredibly validating to have one of the world’s great video game companies look at our work and say yes, this is a product we want to be associated with. We always believed in Putty Pals, of course, and the feedback we’ve received from players of the PC version has been overwhelmingly positive, but this is a whole new level and we’re super excited.”
Putty Pals is now available from the Nintendo Game Store for $9.99USD
