'Syberia 3' (ALL) An Automaton with a Plan DLC Next Month, Free - Screens

by Rainier on Oct. 31, 2017 @ 8:11 a.m. PDT

Syberia 3 is the latest installment in the adventures series with original author Benoit Sokal writing the script.

For the long-awaited third iteration of the fabled franchise, author and artistic director Benoit Sokal has created an exciting new adventure for heroine Kate Walker and her companions. Impersonating Kate Walker, players will benefit from a brand new way to freely explore striking landscapes and circumvent their mysteries and puzzles in ways they have not experienced before.

Syberia 3 begins with Kate adrift and unconscious in a makeshift boat. By good fortune, a caravan of Youkol – who also appeared in Syberia 2 – discovers her before she draws her last breath. Determined to escape their common enemies, Kate decides to help the nomads accomplish their ancestral tradition as they accompany their snow ostriches on their seasonal migration to reproduce in the sacred steppes. A voyage through enchanting and desolated lands begins, one that will see the young woman experience her most dangerous and marvelous adventure yet, with her enemies always on her heels.

With cinematic scope, unforgettable characters, and sweeping story, Syberia 3 is the most technically advanced and visually spectacular Syberia game to date. The game’s rich and interactive score is created by award-winning composer Inon Zur (Fallout 4, Dragon Age, Prince of Persia), who has already scored Syberia 2. Rendered in full 3D for the first time ever, Syberia 3 has been developed for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles as well as PC and Mac from its inception. This will offer players a new level of freedom to explore its beautiful landscapes and cities and allow them to unravel mysteries and enigmas in ways never seen before in the saga.

From November 9th, players will once again be able to dive into the enchanted world of Benoit Sokal with the Syberia 3 DLC "An Automaton with a Plan", free for everyone who already owns the game on PC, and for all on PS4 and Xbox One.

An Automaton with a Plan is a brand-new chapter in the story of Kate Walker's adventures in Syberia 3, but it is recommended that players finish the game first before enjoying the DLC.

This additional content takes place after Kate Walker and the Youkol tribe come across the ruins of Olympia Stadium. During these previously-undocumented events, Kate is kidnapped by the tenacious private detective, Nic Cantin, who has been tasked with bringing her back to New York by hook or by crook. You play as the automaton, Oscar, who sets out to free her. A seemingly simple mission for Oscar, who develops an infallible plan to accomplish it. But matters turn out to be more complicated than foreseen…

Syberia 3 is currently available in North America for PS4, Xbox One and PC/Mac. It will be fully dubbed in English, French, Russian, Polish and German with subtitles in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Czech, Korean, simplified and traditional Chinese.

The original soundtrack is composed by Inon Zur (Fallout 4, Dragon Age, Prince of Persia), who has already scored Syberia 2.
