'The Elder Scrolls Online' (ALL) At No Cost During Xbox One Free Play Days

by Rainier on Nov. 1, 2017 @ 5:43 p.m. PDT

The Elder Scrolls Online is the first Elder Scrolls game to allow gamers to explore the legendary Elder Scrolls world with others.

Using ZeniMax Online’s Megaserver technology, players will join one connected world with a built in social network that lets them stay up-to-date with everything their friends are doing.

Megaserver technology avoids the hassle of shard selection and makes The Elder Scrolls Online one of the most socially enabled games ever created.  Whether playing alone, or with hundreds of friends, players can develop their own style of play as they embark upon an epic quest across Tamriel.

The Xbox One Free Play Days event runs from November 2 until November 5. If you're a new player, this is a great opportunity to check out the game and experience a world where you can go anywhere and do anything. Even better, all new ESO accounts are gifted 500 free crowns for use in the in-game Crown Store, allowing you to pick up some useful items such as potions, XP Scrolls, food, or an adorable pet!

If you've played ESO during previous free-play events for your platform, you'll find that any previous characters and progression will remain. Continue your adventures in Tamriel as if you never left.

For more information on how you can play ESO for free, visit our Free Play page.

The ESO game client will be approximately 80GB in size, so don't forget to ensure you have enough spare on your machine's hard drive for the download. In order to participate in the Xbox One Free Play event, you will also need an Xbox Live Gold account.

In addition to enjoying ESO for free, you can also sign up for our 10 Million Stories Sweepstakes promotion for a chance to win amazing real-world and in-game prizes – don't miss out!

If you're a PlayStation 4 and PC/Mac player, keep an eye on the Free Play page for an announcement in the coming weeks.

If you've been thinking about checking out The Elder Scrolls Online, this is the perfect opportunity to take your first steps into the world of Tamriel.
