In Final Fantasy XI you embark on numerous adventures through vast environments in Vana'diel: a persistent world with over a hundred areas to explore, ranging from mountains, forests, to oceans, castles, and dungeons.

Final Fantasy XI  takes you into the world of Vana’diel® during the aftermath of a great war, as you answer a desperate call to defend your people. Unite with other warriors as they save their world from utter destruction.

During the campaign period, those who have subscribed to PlayOnline/Final Fantasy XI  service in the past are eligible to play Final Fantasy XI  free of charge! Experience the world of Vana'diel now with a variety of new content that has been added throughout the fifteen years of development, along with many system improvements to match your playstyle!

Campaign Period: From Friday, November 10, 2017 at 12:00 a.m. to Friday, November 24 at 12:00 a.m. (PST)

Eligibility (Account/Character Requirements)

To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements. You can check each of the requirements here.

  • 1. Your PlayOnline account is transferred to Square Enix account.
  • 2. You must have an active PlayOnline/FINAL FANTASY XI service account.
  • 3. Character status under the inactive character options must be set to "Cancelled" status as of
    November 7, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. (PST) .
