'Ghost Recon Wildlands' (ALL) Title Update 9 Adds PvP Fixes, Xbox One X Enhancements And More

by Rainier on Nov. 8, 2017 @ 10:03 a.m. PST

Set a few years from now, Ghost Recon Wildlands lets you lead a four-player team of Ghosts on a covert mission to eliminate the Santa Blanca drug cartel.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is a military shooter set in a massive, dangerous, and responsive open world that you can play entirely solo or in four-player co-op.

Bolivia, a few years from now: this beautiful South American country has become the largest cocaine producer in the world. The influential and vicious Santa Blanca drug cartel has turned the country into a narco-state, leading to lawlessness, fear, injustice, and violence. The cartel is on track to becoming a major underworld power and global threat.

An all-out war is not the answer. A surgical, stealthy, lethal approach is the only way to stop the disease at its source. The Ghosts, an elite US Special Forces team, are sent behind enemy lines to wreak havoc, destabilize, and eventually break the alliance between the cartel and the corrupted government.

Facing an almighty enemy in a massive and hostile environment, the Ghosts will need to make critical moral choices and engage in tough battles to complete their mission – their grittiest and most dangerous operation to date.

A big update is out now for Ghost Recon Wildlands, bringing a new raft of fixes and improvements, as well as Xbox One X enhancements that will bring greater graphical fidelity and faster loading times. Among the changes are fixes to Ghost War’s progression and UI, including the option to visit the store directly from the Ghost War menu. The patch’s size will vary on different platforms, with 11 GB on PC Uplay, 4.3 GB on Steam, and 12 GB on consoles.

In this update, we bring you special improvements for Xbox One X! Bringing up 4K, HDR enhancement and faster loading times, your game will be feeling better than ever! We hope that with this update, playing Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands on your new console will be an especially amazing experience.

That’s not all! You’ll also find changes regarding:

  1. Ghost War: In this update, we fixed the progression issue that you reported, as well as added a way to go to the store straight from the Ghost War menu, which is a feature that many of you asked for. We also fixed many UI- and HUD-related issues. A full list of the changes can be found below.
  2. PC trial version. You can try out all the game features for up to five hours. If you decide to purchase the game after playing the trial, your progress will be saved, so you can pick up exactly where you left it off.
  3. As of tomorrow, we will begin a very special celebration: We invite you to enter the Wildlands tomorrow!
