'Du Lac & Fey: Dance of Death' (ALL) Kickstarter Campaign Canceled

by Rainier on Dec. 8, 2017 @ 3:11 p.m. PST

With a trio of sleuths at your disposal, it's your job to right one of history's wrongs in Dance of Death: Du Lac & Fey, a narrative adventure designed to unearth the secrets behind Whitechapel's most famous son.

London, 1888, and one of the world’s most infamous killers - a certain Jack The Ripper - is on the loose. With a trio of sleuths at your disposal, it’s your job to right one of history’s wrongs in Du Lac & Fey: Dance of Death - an exciting new narrative adventure designed to unearth the secrets behind Whitechapel’s most famous son.

But this is no ordinary re-running of one of London’s darkest days: Du Lac & Fey: Dance of Death is a story designed to push boundaries and to tell tales other games might shy away from. It’s an adventure that’s likely to raise a few eyebrows.

Developed by UK studio Salix Games, the immortal knight Sir Lancelot Du Lac and cursed sorceress Morgana Le Fey - both lifted from Arthurian Legend - venture onto the suitably smoggy streets of Victorian London to play their part in unravelling the killings and the seemingly occult motive behind them, with a certain Mary Kelly, Jack the Ripper’s soon to be last victim, potentially offering the key to the mystery.

Hi everyone,

We are very sad to announce that we have decided to cancel our Kickstarter campaign. It was our hope things would pick up in the remaining days, but after much consideration it is clear we will not reach our goal within the remaining time.

We want to assure you all first and foremost this is not the end of Du Lac & Fey: Dance of Death. We stated from the beginning we have the funds to finish the game and this is still the case. Production is going strong and we will release next year on PC. With regards porting to console, we will now be considering other financial opportunities.

There are so many positives to take from this experience. Exhibiting at AdventureX and watching people play our game for the first time was amazing. We have also received some great press coverage from around the globe; people are genuinely excited by our characters and can’t wait to explore the world, which is brilliant to hear!

We are more determined than ever to make this game a success and that is in large part thanks to you: our backers. Your support and belief has been incredible and to know there is a growing community out there who care passionately about this game is truly inspirational.

You can continue to follow our progress on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Tumblr. We’ve created a small FAQ below to hopefully answer any questions you might have, but if there’s something we’ve missed then please contact us via our website or through one of our social media platforms.

Thank you all again, best wishes and have a great December!
