Skara is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) which aims to revolutionize all the MMO/RPG/FPS varieties already in existence by blending never before seen fps-style hand-to-hand combat into a compelling story that is at once exciting and artistic. Imagine an experience with the action of a Versus Fighting Game inside a story and land like RPG´s, all blended into a fast-paced FPS style arena.

Skara - The Blade Remains can support as small as one versus one duels and up to 16 player battles, in which gamers compete for dominance in a fantasy filled world racked by cosmic disaster.

Players choose any of five classes and can customize their character's appearance, equipment and fighting style.  Gamers also decide with whom they will team and create their own factions inside every class.  The teams then fight as one with the goal of dominating arenas, expanding their territories and gaining renown in the world of Skara. The best players will be immortalized as heroes and kings, writing history with their successes and failures.

"The main idea we had from the very beginning was to put players in the center of this dying world, and make the Lore evolve based in their actions, not the other way around” says Pablo Rodríguez, Creative Director of Skara. “Our Kickstarter backers and Early Adopters are already part of the Lore: now it is time to open this to the rest of the world, starting with the four-days event called ‘Cataclysm’ that will initiate the ‘Time of the Two Suns’".

This weekend event will be the beginning of the first-open season of Skara: The Blade Remains, and all players actions will forever influence the future of Lore. Best players will rise as Kings and Villains of each faction and will be converted in stories that will shape Skara’s future.

"We created a rich background with hundreds of stories that will set the scenario for the players to come", says Jackson, Skara’s Cowriter , "but what happens in Skara´s future will be determined by player's actions".

This 72 hours 'Cataclysm' event will define Skara Lore forever and will take place from today at 4:30pm CET (Central European Time) until monday 6th at 4:30pm CET . We arranged two ways for players to be part of this adventure:

First of all, you will be able to earn rewards by reaching the top positions of our rankings. The best ranked players on each culture will be forever registered in Skara Lore as Heroes, Generals and Chiefs of those cultures. Furthermore, the best global ranked player of each day during the event will have an in-game news written by our team and will be featured in our social medias.

Second, we will turn your best plays videos into Skara Stories to be incorporated in the Skara Universe. We will share them as video stories in our Social Media channels and in-game news.

After the event, we will keep adding pieces to Lore based on the result of the event battles.
