Homefront: The Revolution throws players into an alternate near-future dystopia, where a humanitarian crisis has brought the U.S. to its knees under the brutal military control of a globally dominant Korean corporation. Surveillance drones, armored patrols and police violence have become everyday life in Philadelphia, the once proud birthplace of American independence. On their path to freedom, players have to fight a seemingly unwinnable guerrilla war against a superior military force. Using hit and run tactics, ambushes and infiltration, the resistance relies on surprise attacks and an arsenal of improvised weapons to throw back the oppressors and spread the flame of revolution.

Homefront: The Revolution is an open-world first person shooter where the player must lead a Resistance movement in guerrilla warfare against a superior military force. A living, breathing, open world responds to your every action – the Resistance Cell can inspire a rebellion on the streets and turn Occupation into Revolution, as oppressed civilians take up the fight.

The Spring Update includes a generous free Trial version of the game for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the third and final piece of additional single player content, Beyond The Walls, and a dedicated patch for PS4 Pro owners.

This trial version of the game, available on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, contains the entire first ‘Red Zone’, offering up to 4 hours of single player gameplay, and unlimited access to Resistance Mode, the online co-operative mode in Homefront: The Revolution.

This trial, along with the patch available for PlayStation 4 Pro owners, went live on 6th March, as the first part of the two stage update. This Pro patch has the noticeable addition of HDR, along with the game world now being rendered to a 1440p buffer before up-scaling it to 4k to achieve a greater level of graphical fidelity.

The final piece of DLC content for the game, Beyond The Walls, is released today and takes players to a brand new environment - the rural heartlands of Pennsylvania. It begins with the final stronghold of the Resistance, Philadelphia, about to fall to the counter-insurgency might of the KPA. With the second American Revolution seemingly crushed,  a glimmer of light appears in the darkness. A NATO agent attempts to contact the Resistance with information that could lead to the end of the nightmarish regime of the KPA. This is your final chance to free America, but will the KPA find you before you get the chance?

Beyond The Walls is free to all holders of the Homefront Expansion Pass, and available to purchase separately for $12.99 (regional pricing may vary).

But the enemy has the advantage - superior technology, firepower, heavy armor and air support. Players must learn the art of guerrilla warfare – ambush, sabotage, infiltration, deception – and fight a running battle through the war-ravaged suburbs of Philadelphia.

The Resistance flourishes far beyond the single player. Homefront: The Revolution supports up to four players in online Co-Op gameplay where you form your own Resistance Cell and become renowned as Heroes of the Revolution.

On the ground, players will encounter a dynamic environment that looks and feels truly alive as day turns to night and storm clouds come and go - an authenticity that extends to the strikingly lifelike expressions, skin and clothing of everyone they encounter.
