In Fortnite, players and their friends lead a group of Heroes to reclaim and rebuild a homeland that has been left empty by a mysterious darkness only known as “the Storm.”
Players will band together online to explore the world for resources, build extravagant forts, find or build insane weapons and traps as they protect their towns from the strange monsters that emerge during the Storm.
Fortnite is available now in paid Early Access for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac
Epic also revealed the cast of veteran voice actors lending their talents to help the story of Fortnite shine across hundreds of hours of gameplay. Ashly Burch (Horizon: Zero Dawn, Life is Strange) stars as the voice of Ray, a quirky yet, very human, little robot that guides players through their adventures. Players will also hear Phil LaMarr (Samurai Jack), Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim: Uprising, Emerald City), Amy Pemberton (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) and Andrew Kishino (Bulletstorm) among the talented voices directed by veteran actor JB Blanc (Horizon: Zero Dawn).
"As we created the world of Fortnite, with its heroic moments and quirky sense of humor, we knew it would be important to have a mixture of veteran voices and exceptional new talent in order to connect the players to the game's story," said Creative Director Darren Sugg. “Just as we've built Fortnite with the players, we were honored to have a group of amazing performers become part of our community and to help us bring this brand new world to life."
