Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a Minecraft-like, open-world action/RPG that features new characters, an expansive world, unlimited building combinations, and a storyline that’s sure to satisfy longtime fans and newcomers alike!Without revealing many details, Square Enix revealed at their Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017 that it is working on a sequel to last year's Dragon Quest Builders.
Dragon Quest Creator Yuji Horii showed off gameplay footage and stated that while the first title was based on the original Dragon Quest, the sequel is inspired by Dragon Quest II and feature traveling companion, young Sydow (Malroth in the west and DQ II's final boss).
Dragon Quest Builders 2 will also feature cooperative multiplayer.
