With new story additions and features this earns Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon the name "Ultra!" Another adventure is about to begin!
New Pokémon forms have been discovered in the Alola region in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon! These forms are reminiscent of the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo, Lunala, and Necrozma, first revealed in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Head out on an epic journey as you solve the mystery behind these fascinating Pokémon! In this expanded adventure, get ready to explore more of the Alola region, catch more amazing Pokémon, and battle more formidable foes in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon!
The new games feature customizable main characters who embark on a new adventure. An untold story unfolds on a grand scale, where the Legendary Pokémon that steals light, Necrozma, has transformed into two new forms: Dusk Mane Necrozma, who took over Solgaleo, and Dawn Wings Necrozma who took over Lunala.
Fans who purchase and activate the game by Jan. 10 can get a special gift Rockruff (visit Pokemon.com for full details on how to receive the in-game special gift), who will evolve into a Dusk Form Lycanroc, new to the world of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon.
Fans who download the digital version of Pokémon Ultra Sun or Pokémon Ultra Moon by Jan. 10 will receive 12 Quick Balls. Finally, a cool Poké Ball-themed New Nintendo 2DS XL system will launch separately two weeks prior on Nov. 3.
The main characters that appear in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon will feature brand new styles. Players can pick their appearance at the beginning of the game and choose either Rowlet, Litten or Popplio to begin their as-yet-unknown adventure in style. Also discovered in the story is a new Z-Power Ring which players will acquire in the game and can activate to use an even wider variety of Z-Moves. A physical toy of the new Z-Power Ring will be available at launch to purchase and interacts with the video games.
