Apocalipsis is a point-and-click adventure game, in the vain of Samorost and Machinarium, where all puzzles have a hidden meaning.

Apocalipsis: Harry at the End of the World is a traditional point-and-click adventure game, in the vain of Samorost and Machinarium, where solving puzzles comes with a sense of discovery and accomplishment. This gameplay style, merged with unique artstyle inspired by 15th century engravings, creates the perfect backdrop for a story about heartbreak, redemption and, quite literally, the end of the world.

In Apocalipsis you play as Harry, for whom the loss of his beloved was the end of his world. Now he has to venture out into the strange, unwelcoming lands to get her back. On his journey he will meet fantastical creatures, straight from the minds of artists from the 15th century Europe, and ultimately conquer his own, personal demons.

Apocalipsis shares with the Middle Ages its artstyle and the game’s world itself is inspired by Book of Revelation and steeped in medieval philosophy and beliefs, with the story taking cues from Dante Alighieri’s “Divine Comedy”.

Every location and character in Apocalipsis was inspired by classical woodcuts by 15th and 16th century artists such as Hans Holbein, Michael Wolgemut, and Albrecht Dürer. This pairing of medieval art and philosophy with video games creates something unique, like you’ve never seen before.

Nergal, the leader of the band Behemoth, is bringing his dark voice into a new adventure game Apocalipsis: Harry at the End of the World, which will also feature a new, somber rendition of Behemoth’s music as a gameplay surprise for the fans of the band.

The title Apocalipsis: Harry at the End of the World is the first foray of the famous band Behemoth into the world of video games. With Behemoth’s music hidden in gameplay and Nergal narrating, it’s shaping up to be one hell of an experience. You can get a peek behind the scenes in the special making-of video available on YouTube, or download the file from the press server.

The aesthetics and the style of Apocalipsis are in step with what I do and what I like. I get inspired and moved by things that are dark and mysterious. For example I am a big fan of Gustave Doré, whose illustrations can be found in my favorite books, like Milton’s “Paradise Lost”, so this corresponds with what I do everyday - both in my professional life and privately. This is my passion and because of it Apocalipsis just felt natural” - says Nergal.

According to the game’s director, Krzysiek Grudzinski of Punch Punk Games, working with Nergal is the best Apocalipsis could hope for:

We’ve been trying to find the best voice for Apocalipsis for a long time, and all along the answer was right there. Nergal and Behemoth are the perfect fit for our game, for our aesthetic, and the motives and symbols we touch upon. I think this is exactly what I needed to complete my vision for Apocalipsis

I took up this opportunity because it’s cool to be part of video game. And the fact that the game is pretty dark and has a lot of occult symbolism makes it all the more appealing to my own taste. You will also find a Behemoth tune in the background, which might be interesting for some Behemoth’s fans to discover

Come, let us take you on a journey you will not forget!
