Age of Empires: Castle Siege brings a fast-paced experience to Win 8 touch-based screens (PC and Win. 8 phones) while delivering all the strategy and combat Age of Empires is renowned for.

Choose from one of several civilizations, expand your castle into a massive city, defend your walls against marauding empires and, when your newly trained army is ready, lay siege to other castles built by online opponents.

Microsoft announced that after May 13, 2019, Age of Empires: Castle Siege will no longer be supported, and will no longer be available for download. Current Age of Empires: Castle Siege players can still download and play the game up until May 13. After May 13, matchmaking services will end, which means the game will no longer be playable.

While we're sad to close Age of Empires: Castle Siege, we're excited for what's to come for the Age franchise with the recent release of Age of Empires: Definitive Edition and upcoming titles such as Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires IV.

Smoking Gun Interactive will continue to support the product and community for Age of Empires: Castle Siege through to its shut down period. The studio has another strategy title in the works and is working on securing its next new partnership and title that will be built with the latest incarnation of the Caliber engine used to create Age of Empires: Castle Siege and other titles.
