'Override: Mech City Brawl' (ALL) Shows Off What New Content To Expect At Launch - Trailer

by Rainier on Nov. 5, 2018 @ 8:10 a.m. PST

Override: Mech City Brawl is a 3D mech-based party brawler where you pilot your very own mech and pit them against other enormous robots in fully-destructible arenas modeled after real world locations like San Francisco, Egypt, Mexico, and Japan.

Override: Mech City Brawl will launch with a total of 12 different mechs to pilot, all with their own play style and specialty moves. Once you've selected your mech, you can customise it with a range of unlockable accessories and skins in The Garage. If you're going to smash your way through cities, you might as well look good doing it!

It takes more than a few skills to pilot a mech. Similarly, it takes more than just a development team to make a party brawler! After hosting a closed beta this summer to gain community insight on early development, Modus Games has taken the public’s feedback to heart.

Highlighting these much-requested new features, balance changes and quality-of-life improvements, the team has put together a brand-new development update video.

New and returning players alike can expect an even smoother learning process thanks to the addition of a sleek tutorial. Couple this with a series of custom game settings, from match timers and camera inversion, to random weapon and ultimate toggles, and Override offers a gameplay experience that’s more accessible to all skill levels.

Players can also expect changes to how zoning, blocking and dashkicks function, evening the playing field for mechs on the offense and defense. Characters across the board will also be receiving buffs and nerfs to improve accessibility for newcomers, while still offering a high skill ceiling. That means you won’t have to wake up in a cold sweat worrying about Contessa’s all-too-potent dash invincibility, and can rest easy knowing Pescado’s been hitting the gym to amp up his dropkick and high-flying beatdowns.

Key Features:

  • Explosive Battles. Take control of a gigantic mech and lay waste to entire cities as you fight other massive opponents.
  • Supercharged Mechs. Pilot 12 outrageous mechs of epic, skyscraper-sized proportions, each with diverse fighting styles and unique skills.
  • Real-World Locations. Destroy 3D arenas modeled after actual cities and countries, including Tokyo, Egypt, San Francisco, and Mexico.
  • Multiple Game Modes. Challenge other players in local and online Versus & Co-Op modes and experience Override’s story in a single-player campaign.
  • Party Co-Op. Gather 2 to 4 friends to engage in party co-op where each player is responsible for one part of a towering mech!
  • The Garage. Customize your mechs in the Garage, changing their accessories and skins to create your own unique style.

Players can pre-order the game starting today. The Super Charged Mega Edition includes the Season Pass, delivering 4 extra mechs and 16 new skins post-launch, as well as instant access to 12 legendary skins normally unlocked in the Standard Edition. Override: Mech City Brawl arrives on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on December 4th, 2018 for £29.99/$39.99 for the Super Charged Mega Edition and £24.99/$29.99 for the digital-only Standard Edition.

Override: Mech City Brawl is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on December 4, 2018 for $29.99.
