The Onion Kingdom is in peril again and this time it is the fault of the Onion King himself! Overcooked 2 is a chaotic co-op cooking game for 1-4 players in which you must serve a variety of recipes including sushi, pasta, cakes, burgers and burritos to hungry customers in a series of unconventional kitchens. Whether it be a hot air balloon, a magical Wizard’s school or even another planet, you’ll have to be bready for anything. Work solo or with up to three friends to prep orders while overcoming obstacles such as fire, collapsing floors, overbearing waiters and of course, the classic kitchen problem of floating work surfaces.

It’s time to take another trip to the Onion Kingdom, just don’t forget your festive spirit! You can jingle all the way through five new kitchens within a Winter Wonderland world map, cook up three tasty new recipes and meet two seasonal chefs. As ever, the kitchens will be full of calamity, so watch out for moving counter-tops, icy winds and sinking ice!

The update also sees the introduction of “Practice mode” which allows chefs to get to grips with Overcooked 2 without the usual pressures of the kitchen. In practice mode the timer counts up, allowing you to cook to your heart’s content and there’s even an option to turn it off all together. Fancy an even more relaxed kitchen? You can turn off scores AND order expirations. Practice mode is available for all levels in the base game, Surf ‘n’ Turf DLC and Kevin’s Christmas Cracker update.

New kitchens! Expect plenty of Christmas chaos in the five kitchens in Kevin’s cracker. The snow is falling all around but if you can’t stand the cold, don’t set fire to the kitchen.

New recipes! Who doesn’t love getting stuffed at Christmas? With Kevin’s Christmas Cracker you have a choice of three new recipes to rustle up! Christmas pudding, mince pies and indulgent hot chocolate are on the menu (don’t forget the whipped cream and marshmallows!)

New chefs! Taking a break from making toys, Elf has decided to try his hand at cooking up some festive food. Also, making a merry return is Snowchef, just don’t mistake their carrot nose for an ingredient!

• Chefs! Overcooked 2 introduces a whole host of new of chefs to play in the kitchen including an eagle, mouse, beaver and what kitchen is complete without an octopus!
