Super Mega Baseball 2 is a brand new, streamlined baseball simulator which lets you build your dream team and challenge your opponents to a good old-fashioned game of hardball, online and off.

Your team, your league, your way. Full customization is at your fingertips with logo design, uniform choices, player appearance, league construction, sandbox seasons and more.

Step onto the mound with brand new, more realistically scaled character models and soak in the sights and sounds of new and updated stadiums. Physically-based rendering and a fully rebuilt user interface round out a massive set of visual upgrades.

Baseball fanatics will be in their element with visceral, convincing physics and a fine-tuned baseball simulation, while newcomers will succeed with accessible controls and a wide range of difficulty settings.

Got game? Show it off in Super Mega Baseball 2’s online mode. Friends and strangers, online or on your couch, will marvel at your heavy hitting in co-op and versus play. Or keep the fun all to yourself in single player mode. However you like to play, the game’s critically acclaimed ‘Ego’ difficulty system will keep you neck-and-neck with any opponent. The Ego system pushes seasoned gamers to their limits while simultaneously providing a gentle introduction for beginners, offering fine-grained control of difficulty on a per-user basis leveling the playing field in cooperative and competitive modes.

Super Mega Baseball 2 is releasing a special Closed Beta that allows select Xbox One ballplayers.

Launching within the next two weeks as a series of closed tests on Xbox One, players in the U.S. and Canada interested in being selected to play in the Closed Beta can sign up here.

During the multi-week Closed Beta timeframe, lucky players will experience Super Mega Baseball 2’s reworked presentation in select modes of play. The initial tests are expected to feature Exhibition and Pennant Race modes.

“We’ve tackled an ambitious feature set on Super Mega Baseball 2 and view this Closed Beta as a way to make sure the game and its online systems are ready to party on launch day,” said Metalhead Co-Founder Scott Drader. “We expect we’ll get plenty of fantastic feedback that will help us polish and balance the experience on the way to the launch of the full game.”

Major new features include:

  • Revamped Graphics: Complete with enhanced character models, new and updated stadiums, and a modernized interface, Super Mega Baseball 2 has a fully rebuilt look that carries forward the personality and spirit of the original.
  • Player & League Customization: Build the ultimate fantasy baseball league with full customization of your league, teams and players. Choose the number of teams in your league and customize each team’s logos and uniforms. Then dig deeper by customizing individual player stats and appearance.
  • Online Co-op & PvP Play: Play cooperatively or head-to-head with online multiplayer. Or take it offline and play couch co-op or solo. In cooperative modes, teammates alternate batting/running each time at-bat and alternate pitching/fielding each inning, challenging ballplayers to stay on their toes in every play.
  • Refined Gameplay: Just like its predecessor, Super Mega Baseball 2 features solid controls, but this time around features more refined gameplay and a more realistic scale.

Super Mega Baseball 2 is scheduled for release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Spring 2018.
