Unearthed has a fully player-driven economy and a blend of PVP and PVE. With strong survival elements and a levelless and classless system, Unearthed is designed to be challenging.

Unearthed is currently in PRE-ALPHA, and thus far is the work of a single individual, and founder of Mad Matter, Ragel Alheit.

Mad Matter has launched a Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, looking for $280,000, which is instrumental in expanding the team and ensuring that Unearthed is shaped into a unique experience for its future players.

Key Features:

• Awaken in a citadel known as The Root. From there explore an open world with seamlessly integrated environmental sectors, or risk life and limb in the Shadow Lands beyond. Scavenge for precious resources, battle for prestige in the Arena, or defend outposts against incursions from strange and alien enemies. ​With challenges to test and develop opportunities in inventing and crafting, as well as adrenaline boosting events and mental trials, Unearthed is tailored to fit a multitude of play styles.
• Venture deep into vast and unique environmental sectors where diverse flora and fauna create unexpected threats. From the outskirts to the central core, the more challenging and alien each sector becomes. Unstable terrain, fluctuating gravity, exploding or toxic flora, poisonous gasses and more will require players to approach each zone differently, with the promise of riches or ruin ahead. Investigate derelict structures, search for hidden treasures or visit one of the many outposts scattered around the world.
• Unearthed is meant to be challenging. Survival encompasses much more than simply maintaining hunger, thirst and temperature. Natural and artificial dangers will prove a daunting challenge to the bold and brave: with flash floods, forest fires, blights and more seeking to welcome intrepid explorers.
• Materials  change in response to the weather conditions and other external influences. Snow and rain slowly build up and affects everything in its path, as does dust. immersive details help shape interactive surroundings: such as water soaking clothing, burn marks from lasers or flames and animated blood decals from injuries.
• Experience a blend of PVP and PVE. Cautiously explore a PVE world with select areas dedicated to PVP.  Join battles in a player versus player Arena with various combat scenarios to choose from: Victories will earn prestige and special rewards. Test your mettle against the creatures in Unearthed, where tractics and strategy can largely affect outcome.
• Gather. Trade. Craft. Find valuable veins of ore using specialized mining probes, or gather common stone from surface nodules. Certain resources are limited to specific environments. Harvest materials from creatures or the natural world, or grow your own.
• Unearthed features a blueprint based crafting system. Crafters can eke out a living without ever leaving The Root by placing blueprint buy and sell orders on the market.
  • Base Blueprints: Players start with a set of base crafts which can branch other more complex blueprints with use.
  • Master Blueprints: Each base craft has a small chance to roll a master blueprint. Alternatively, some master blueprints can be purchased on the markets, won in Arena matches, found in loot, or randomly generated, hidden treasures caches throughout the world.
  • Legendary Blueprints: Legendary blueprints are extremely rare and can only be assembled from gathering various blueprint fragments found in the dangerous core areas of various sectors. 
• Create your own sanctuary or simply store your hoarded goods in a living space in the root or any one of the outposts littered throughout the world. Buy land and create unique and complex structures or the ultimate fortress of solitude. Farming and breeding crafts are limited by property size. Expand your domain to breed the ultimate space sheep flock. Property can be purchased with in game currency. No micro-transactions save for cosmetic items.
