'Crossout' (ALL) Adds New Leviathans Game Mode - Trailer

by Rainier on May 22, 2018 @ 9:41 a.m. PDT

Set in a post-apocalyptic world devastated by an alien invasion and human genetic testing gone awry, Crossout is a new team based multiplayer vehicle combat game.

Crossout tests players’ creativity in building, upgrading and customizing deadly armored vehicles to destroy enemies in open player vs player combat.

No two vehicles in Crossout are the same, as players can create any kind of combat vehicle from the speediest buggy to the heaviest of off-road vehicles to reflect their warrior sense of gameplay. Offering complete customization, Crossout gives players thousands of possibilities to design their vehicle, including shape, armor, weapons, support systems and, cosmetic enhancements. Visit your own garage to build new advanced mechanisms and sell them via the in-game auction system.

Players also have multiple options when it comes to mass destruction - combat vehicles can be equipped with an explosive range of weapons from chainsaws, power drills and machine guns, to rocket launchers, flying drones and stealth generators. Featuring an advanced damage model, destroy any part of an enemy machine and it will affect that vehicle's performance.

Targem Games and Gaijin Entertainment released a new Clan Wars game mode for their post-apocalyptic Action MMO Crossout.

Called ‘Leviathans’, players can now go to battle on the game’s biggest craftable vehicles, the Leviathans, for the very first time. Previously, Leviathans were only available as boss level enemies in PvE missions, where a group of cooperative players would meet a player-designed but AI-controlled Leviathan as final enemy in battle. More than 100,000 Leviathans have already been constructed by players since the launch of Open Beta, and the new Clan Wars game mode allows two player-controlled Leviathans to finally clash in battle.

The new mode will feature 4v4 team battles between Clan players, with one custom Leviathan  brought in by each respective captain and the other team members in their regular vehicles. Constructed from the ground up using individual parts, Leviathans feature different weapons, armor, and support systems like shield generators, drones, and more. Their main difference lies in their sheer size, allowing them to carry significantly more of everything compared to a regular vehicle. Captains will be able to match their Leviathan layout perfectly with the strategy of their team, e.g. by focusing on strong defensive capabilities, overwhelming long-range artillery armament or by maintaining tactical flexibility by building a vehicle balanced between offense and defense.

The new Clan Wars mode will be ranked, with the top 30 clans each week being generously rewarded with Uranium, a special resource in Crossout that can be used to craft rare weapons or be sold for great profit on the market.

Key Features:

  • Unique vehicles, crafted by the players using a wide range of available parts: from nimble buggies to heavily tracked off-road vehicles or combat platforms on antigrav fields.
  • Complete freedom of creativity and thousands of possible combinations. Create vehicles of any shape using dozens of parts, wide variety of armour and weapons as well as support systems.
  • Advanced damage model: destroy any part of an enemy machine and it will affect the vehicle's performance immediately.
  • Huge arsenal of weapons. From chain saws, power-drills over machine guns to rocket launchers, flying drones and stealth generators.
  • Your own workshop: create new, advanced parts and auction them at the in-game marketplace.
  • Trading options between players: every piece that you have gethered in the battle can be sold to other players
  • Choose your own battle strategy! The only thing matters is the Survival and Victory!

Crossout is now available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
