'Figment' (ALL) Gets Delayed On Switch

by Rainier on May 24, 2018 @ 5:20 a.m. PDT

Figment is a musical action-adventure set deep in the recesses of the human mind, a mix of challenging puzzles and satisfying combat.

Figment is a musical action-adventure set in the recesses of the human mind: a strange and surreal world; a place filled with our deepest thoughts, urges and memories, populated by the many voices we hear in our heads.

This mind has been quiet and calm for many years. But something has changed. New thoughts have started to emerge - taking the shape of nightmarish creatures who spread fear wherever they go. Nightmarish creatures have arrived, spreading fear wherever they go. As Dusty, the mind's former voice of courage, you'll fight the nightmares and solve an array of puzzles. The only hope is for the grumpy Dusty to get back to his old self and help the mind to face its fears.

Figment invites players to join Dusty and his ever-optimistic friend, Piper, on an adventure through the different sides of the mind, solving puzzles to set things straight, beating back the nightmares and seeking to restore the courage that's been lost.

Originally scheduled for a 31 May release, an unforeseen technical issue has meant the date has needed to be pushed back to 28 June.

Bedtime Digital Games' CEO and co-founder, Klaus Pedersen, explained: "We were all set to go for the 31 May launch, but then we found a small technical issue that needed fixing before release. The fix was a quick one, but unfortunately, it meant we had to pick a new release date."

He added: "We're really pleased with Figment on the Switch - it's a really natural fit for the platform - so we hope that players feel it was worth the wait when it launches on June 28th."

Key Features:

  • A gorgeous hand-drawn world to explore and restore
  • Fight human fears head-on, as you battle with sinister nightmares
  • Use both brawn and brain, solving puzzles and battling enemies
  • Enjoy a full score of musical performances, nightmarish and otherwise, which are defined by your exploration of the world

Currently available on PC, Figment will be released on Nintendo Switch starting June 28, 2018, with Xbox One and PS4 to follow later in 2018.
