Assemble your Company of customized soldiers, weapons, and vehicles – then take them on an epic journey through the Tides of War. Experience the most intense, immersive Battlefield yet. You will never be the same.
Featuring a fresh portrayal of one of mankind’s biggest conflicts, Battlefield V allows players to feel the unmatched intensity of all-out war and travel to unexpected but crucial moments of World War 2 through new and signature multiplayer modes, single-player War Stories and the cooperative Combined Arms. In Battlefield V, embark on a continuing, grand journey post-launch in the brand new Tides of War, created to make sure the battlefield is constantly evolving with new events, challenges, battles, and rewards that are always within reach – for all Battlefield V owners.
Battlefield V multiplayer will deliver the most immersive gameplay of the franchise in a sandbox environment that portrays the battles of World War 2, allowing players to feel the force of the fight and truly shape the war as the war shapes them. Players’ soldiers can now tow stationary weapons, build fortifications and repair war-torn structures to turn the battlefield to the player’s advantage. Whether dragging a squad mate to safety or shooting a grenade out of the sky, players will forge a deeper connection to the ever-evolving world around them and achieve victory against the toughest odds. With the freedom to adapt and evolve the battlefield in new and unseen ways, the battlefield will never be the same.
The Closed Alpha will give selected players a hands-on experience of Battlefield V and, together with several other tests, it will be a way for us to stress-test servers and improve several aspects of the game, thanks to the participation and feedback from those taking part. As Closed Alpha participants get their hands on this early build, we will work to ensuring stability, balance, and more for Battlefield V as we work our way towards the October launch.
Our tests can be divided into two main categories: gameplay and technical. Under the gameplay umbrella, you’ll find areas like the balancing of maps, weapons, and vehicles to make sure that Battlefield V matches are fair, entertaining, and rewarding to skilled players. Finally, we’re also curious to see how Closed Alpha participants will react to the new attrition and immersion systems. Put clearly, how can we reach a sweet spot when it comes to limited ammo and health? How do we make the revive system and more physical move set as good as possible?
The Battlefield V Closed Alpha is invite-only. It is designed for PC players, will be in English only, and will be available in these regions:

Invitations with codes for the Closed Alpha will soon be sent to a small group of Battlefield players. These codes can be redeemed in the Origin client.
The Closed Alpha will begin on June 28 and will be available for a limited time only.
If you get invited, you can tackle Conquest mode or the Grand Operation Fall of Norway. Taking place on the map Arctic Fjord, Fall of Norway lets you experience two of its in-game “days” and play two of the modes that the Grand Operation strings together: Airborne and Breakthrough.
Playing Airborne, you’ll either paradrop down to the battlefield to deal with enemy artillery, or fight to counter this attack if you’re on the other team. In the frantic fights of Breakthrough, you must capture sectors as an attacker or keep the opposition at bay through on-the-fly planning. As for Conquest – this is the timeless Battlefield classic where two teams use infantry and vehicular combat to seize a majority control of key control points.
During the Closed Alpha you can take on one Special Assignment and several Daily Orders. The former consists of a series of in-game tasks, challenging your various skills on the battlefield. Complete the Special Assignment, and you'll earn a Battlefield V Dog Tag which will be added to your profile if you buy the full game once it's released. Note that for the Special Assignment to be tracked, you need to activate it via the “ASSIGNMENTS” tab in the main menu.
As the name suggests, Daily Orders are small challenges that are swapped out daily. They can for example challenge you to damage enemy vehicles or kill enemies of a certain class. In the Closed Alpha, there won't be any rewards for completing these, but that is the plan for the full game.
