An action adventure game built exclusively for virtual reality, Apex Construct is set in a shattered future where merciless robots prowl the world as a result of mankind’s reckless experiments.Equipped with an upgradable a bow and arrow, players will explore this world to uncover its secrets while defending themselves from the nightmare machines that dominate the world of tomorrow.
As the last human alive in this dystopian future, players will need to explore this world to uncover its secrets while defending themselves from the synthetic creatures, utilizing an upgradable bow, arrow & shield setup. Progressing through the adventure, players will gradually reveal what actually happened to the world they once knew - and what their role is in the drawn out conflict between two powerful AIs.
The puzzles that players encounter will reveal more of the story, told in a world where two powerful AIs are locked in a drawn out conflict. Using motion controllers, players will pick up a bow, firing arrows through a fluid, natural motion that simulates the mechanics of real world archery to destroy robots and overcome environmental challenges. Some arrows even offer quite the punch, dealing electrical or explosive damage when they pierce their target.
Fast Travel Games released a content update for their VR exclusive action/adventure debut title, Apex Construct.
Cygnia Cup Challenge is free for all players owning the main game on either Steam or Oculus, with the PlayStation VR version of Apex Construct getting the free content update later in June.
In Cygnia Cup Challenge, the player will be transported to a shifted pre-apocalypse arena and take part in a global fight to be the one who rules the leaderboards:
- Fight in 6 locations in the arena, each with escalating difficulty levels.
- Take out shooting targets and enemies quickly to keep the combo meter up!
- Avoid getting shot by Mothr’s attacking bots. If you die, the challenge is over.
- Use your wits (and your different arrow types...) to reach the highest score.
- Earn your place on the global leaderboards.
- Participating in Cygnia Cup Challenge also earns you RP which you can spend on upgrades or consumables in the campaign.
Apex Construct is currently available as digital download for PS4 (PlayStation VR), as well as Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality.
