Friday the 13th: The Game will deliver a terrifying combination of features designed to satisfy gamers and fans of the Friday the 13th franchise alike. In addition to bringing the tension and horror of the movies to life, the game will also let players don the mask of Jason Voorhees for the first time and control all new levels of brutal action! The development team had earlier collaborated on the unreleased survival horror-themed game Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp and plans to integrate much of that design into the new Friday the 13th game.

Friday the 13th: The Game developer Nighthawk Interactive abnd publisher Gun Media are releasing a few special editions, even though a legal dispute resulted in the fact that the game will no longer receive any further content updates.

Gun Media and Nighthawk Interactive announced two special physical editions of Friday the 13th: The Game.

• Ultimate Slasher Edition includes Friday the 13th: The Game and all available premium DLC (does not include Kickstarter/Backer exclusive “Savini Jason” character or backer exclusive clothing pack), as well as a Limited Edition poster,
• The Ultimate Slasher Collector’s Edition, which includes everything from the Ultimate Slasher Edition, as well as a NECA Friday the 13th Part 3 Jason mask replica.

The team behind Friday the 13th: The Game shares that same approach and that attention to detail comes through as soon as you load up the game. It was a no-brainer for us to collaborate with them and include a Part 3 mask with their Ultimate Slasher Collector’s Edition," said NECA director Randy Falk.
