Megaton Rainfall is a first-person superhero game where the playground is an entire real-sized Earth, featuring procedurally generated cities and terrain that you have to protect from an alien invasion.

The Superhero Sim that lets you soar across the world, dive in the ocean and walk on the sun

You control an interdimensional, indestructible super being, and your goal is to stop an alien invasion by shooting energy blasts. You can’t die… But the cities have life bars, and if you let the aliens destroy them, you lose! You also lose if you unintentionally kill too many humans, because every time you miss your target you can make a skyscraper collapse! And that’s just with your first weapon; you will acquire more superpowers throughout the game.

To turn that vision into reality, a lot of custom technology has been implemented, from the seamless, planet-scale rendering to the full destructibility of every building you see on the horizon. Not to mention the even crazier events that will take place later in the game.

Megaton Rainfall has been around for 9 months, selling almost 100000 units (which is 5X our naively humble sales target), with its unique First Person Superhero Action and its outstanding soundtrack by the now BAFTA-winner David García.

Megaton Rainfall is coming to Nintendo Switch, Oculus Store and SteamVR versions on August 9, 2018, while the Xbox One version is scheduled for September 5, 2018.

All the ports are powered by our propietary engine and have been carefully implemented to get the most from each platform. Xbox One X users will get 4K support, the Switch will move the procedural destruction effects at 60 fps even in handheld mode, and the VR versions will get all-new gesture controls (flying and shooting energy blasts never felt so physical)... Including PlayStation Move (yes, we'll also launch a patch in late August supporting it).

We'll also add a (much wanted by our community) Free Roam mode to all versions.

And that's all about Megaton. It has been a pleasure to develop and succeed with this game, and we want to thank all our fans for their support. But after this update, on September we'll move on to our next project.
