'Antigraviator' (ALL) Update Adds Pure Mode, Multiple Camera Views, Fixes and Tweaks

by Rainier on July 25, 2018 @ 12:04 p.m. PDT

Antigraviator is a sleek new take on the anti-gravity racing genre, where you use traps, power-ups and boosts to overtake your opponents and dominate the track.

With no speed limit holding you back, Antigraviator aims to deliver the fastest racing experience out there.

In the year 2210, racing has evolved far beyond its expected limits. New terraforming capabilities paired with scientific breakthroughs in the field of antigravity have given birth to a new spectacle: the Antigraviator tournament. In Antigraviator, players will race on exquisitely detailed stages, full of light-speed danger, chaos and mayhem. Gamers will guide their Grav in three gameplay modes across four different worlds with three tracks each. These dynamic courses come to life, while pushing the power of Unity to the limit.

Players can challenge their friends in the fiercely competitive multiplayer modes, either online or in split-screen mode. Race yourself to the top of the worldwide leaderboard and earn special ranked skins.

Gamers can sabotage their fellow racers by activating hover mines, damaging the environment to create a rockslide, causing tunnels to collapse, firing missiles from rocket launchers along the track and many more fiendish tricks.

Gravs are customizable, but choose wisely: deciding on one upgrade may mean compromising on another. Strategically tailor-make Gravs to gain the upper hand in races or face the crushing prospect of defeat. In addition to the customization options, unlockable skins will be available free of charge.

In this futuristic high-octane racing game, defying gravity is the least of your concerns.

Iceberg Interactive and Cybernetic Walrus' anti-gravity racing game Antigraviator received a free content update which introduces Pure Mode, a highly-requested feature, giving players the option to race without traps and pick-ups. Also added are multiple camera views and bindable keys, amongst other fixes and improvements.

Mike Coeck, CEO of Cybernetic Walrus: “The community gave us feedback on the game, and we listened. Pure mode gives players a new experience, highlighting even more just how fast the game really is. We will continue to support Antigraviator with the help and influence of the community.”

Here is an overview of what this new update brings:

  • Added Pure Mode, which removes traps and pickups from a race. You gain boost every few seconds so you can still boost. Play Pure Mode races in quickplay and in the main campaigns
  • Added custom key binds. It's now possible to customise the key binds on your keyboard and controller any way you like!
  • Added Multiple camera views. You can now switch between two camera views, the regular cam and a cam that is a bit further away so you see more of the track. A bumper cam is coming very soon!
  • Added more Leaderboards. Every track now has its own leaderboard for every mode
  • Added support for the Trustmaster Hotas X
  • Multiplayer now gives double the number of credits and divides them among all players instead of just the top players
  • The bug where the game would crash during scene loading seems to be squashed after we updated the Unity player. None of our machines are affected by the bug while running the 1.1 version of the game, and none of our trusted and appreciated testers experience these crashes anymore. However, if you still experience these issues, please let us know on the forum.
  • We made some improvements to increase performance on some machines.
  • You can now enable screenspace reflections in the options menu. This is only for very high-end machines as this is very resource expensive!
  • Other smaller bugs have been addressed
  • Changed the description of the Rocket-powered Rookie achievement. This achievement is rewarded when you complete the rookie league, not the first league.
