'A.V.A: Dog Tag' 2nd Closed Beta Next Week, Targeting eSports

by Rainier on Jan. 10, 2019 @ 12:26 a.m. PST

A.V.A. (Alliance of Valiant Arms) is a modern warfare first-person shooter where a siege of modern warfare hits combat zones around the globe.

Alliance of Valiant Arms: Dog Tag (A.V.A: Dog Tag) is a free-to-play, online, first-person shooter, built on Unreal Engine 3.

The game, now in its Beta phase, features exciting teamplay with two modes currently ready to dive into. Players either fight for overall domination in Annihilation mode by being the first of two teams to reach the preset score or having the highest score before time runs out. To put their tactical expertise to the test, players can jump into Demolition mode, the all-time favourite terrorist vs counter-terrorist scenario, featuring EU and NRF forces in Red Ducks own take on the genre.

After choosing one of three classes, players can customize their loadout with a wide variety of weapons.

The first Closed Beta of tactical multiplayer shooter A.V.A Dog Tag has received a lot of positive feedback by fans old and new as well as streamers, who visited the A.V.A booth at TwitchCon 2018. Over 8000 players pre-registered for the second Closed Beta run and are keeping in touch with the developers on a daily basis on their official Discord channel. Red Duck is putting in a lot of effort to keep direct contact with their fans and has just recently acquired the rights to their original Facebook channel still holding 150.000 passionate fans, who will receive regular updates regarding the game and beta tests in the upcoming weeks.

The second Closed Beta test will bring a slew of new features and improvements for players to dive into and test out: In the brand new Shooting Range option that can be found in the inventory, players can choose their weapons and attachments to directly test recoil and handling, allowing them to try each weapon with different types of weapon mods before heading into a game. The game will also introduce custom channels providing the opportunity to create rooms to test and play with friends.

Red Duck is also working on redesigning and upgrading the functionality of the UI and in-game HUD. The HUD now shows more detailed analysis of damage dealt and taken as well as additional information about each round played. The UI redesign is almost completed and will contain various new functions. Based on feedback from the community, the game will also include a separate option to manually set the Field of View.

In addition to these quality-of-life improvements the new game version will also feature several gameplay changes including improved weapon sound quality, new voice lines, weapon balancing and the new map "DUAL SIGHT", which will be available for both the Demolition and Annihilation game modes.

Red Duck is furthermore aiming to establish the game in professional eSports leagues and is currently in talks with the ESL.

The A.V.A Dog Tag CBT will run from January 18th to 31st. Players can register for the Closed Beta on the official website or keep their eyes peeled on the various gaming websites, that will run giveaways in the next couple of days.

Players can join the A.V.A Dog Tag Discord to share their feedback during beta directly with the development team and other enthusiastic fans.
