Chernobylite is a science-fiction survival horror experience, mixing the free exploration of its disturbing world with challenging combat, unique crafting, and non-linear storytelling.

April 26th, 1986, 1:23 AM local time. The day when the Chernobyl nuclear disaster occurred, and the life of 350,000 people changed forever. At the time, you were just a passionate, but naïve, young physicist working at the facility. And like many, you’ve lost what was most dear to you – your girlfriend. Thirty years later you’re still struggling with the demons of the past. To finally put them to rest, you return to what’s now called the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.

30 years after the catastrophe, the pollution in Chernobyl continues to increase due to the unexpected activity of a dangerous substance produced as a result of the explosion, called “chernobylite”. You're far from safe. It is rumored from other stalkers still living in the Zone, that under the influence of its radioactivity, strange things have started to happen. Things only described in tales for naughty children up until now. You’re returning to Chernobyl with one goal in mind: to find your missing girlfriend and uncover the dark secret behind her disappearance. Get ready to confront not only the dangers of radiation and the military presence, but also the potential threat emanating from these new, mysterious happenings. Keep your wits about you and try to maintain your composure, because Chernobylite is going to challenge your very sanity.

Get ready for a thrilling adventure of survival, conspiracy, horror, love, and obsession. One that will6 prove to you that it’s not about how you face your fears, it’s about how you survive them.

Chernobylite is a science-fiction survival horror experience from the team behind the critically-acclaimed Get Even. The game mixes the free exploration of its disturbing world with challenging combat, unique crafting, and non-linear storytelling. The game utilizes Unreal Engine 4 and is based on Reality 51’s scanning technology, which is in development by The Farm 51 for over five years.

Explore the heart of darkness – the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant itself. Investigate the terrifying environments of Kopachi kindergarten, climb the mysterious Eye of Moscow, and inspect the fragments of the abandoned city of Pripyat. Experience 8 hours of constant survival and non-linear storytelling. Get access to free-of-charge updates that add new episodes, locations, characters, and equipment to the game. And if you’re determined enough, discover all the possible endings!

Thanks to feedback already gathered from thousands of players, many technical and design improvements have been implemented in the game along with new language localizations. And with the virtual photo contest, you can travel with the developers to the Exclusion Zone itself for a real Chernobyl photography session.

A week after the Early Access release of Chernobylite, developers have summed up player feedback and are ready to shape the roadmap towards delivering the final version. Until the release in Winter 2020, every month there will be at least one huge content update along with weekly patches consisting of smaller additions, technical improvements, and fixes.

But if you still dream of going to the real Chernobyl, the developers prepared a virtual photography contest where the winner will join them on one of their trips and be able to take photos of Igor, Tatyana, and Black stalker in the real Zone. All you need to do is take a beautiful virtual photo within the game and post it on the Discord channel before midnight on Halloween, October 31st, PDT. One person can publish a maximum of 5 images considered for the competition. The best piece will be awarded a trip to Chernobyl together with the dev team (requirements: you need to be +18 years old, you need to have a valid international passport, and you need to go to Kyiv, Ukraine, or Gliwice, Poland on your own. Everything else, including travel, food, overnight stays, photo equipment, and permissions, will be covered by the devs. The trip dates can be anytime within the next 12 months).

The launch of Chernobylite’s Early Access on Steam and GOG attracted a lot of attention from players across all countries, so the developers decided to speed up the delivery of localized language versions. Today you can play Chernobylite with English and Russian voiceovers and display the interface and subtitles in several languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Dutch, Hungarian, and Polish. The next localizations will soon be on their way.

Chernobylite is now available for PC through Early Access (Steam and GOG.com) for 29.99 USD / 24.99 EUR / 23.99 GBP / 99 PLN.

Ally or compete with other stalkers of the Chernobyl zone to survive. Remember that life is fragile, and it’s your decisions that determine the fate of your companions. You can spend as long as you need to prepare, however, be aware that your story is still being written. Every passing moment, your chances of success are dwindling: comrades are dying, supplies are running out, or an unexpected patrol could discover you. And on top of all this, supernatural dangers arise around you in mysterious patterns. Each day brings new challenges with the ever-increasing severity of your current situation. Plan your strategy carefully if you want to survive.

Craft your gear and weapons to protect yourself from the hostile military personnel and supernatural threats lurking in the zone. Make use of the sophisticated tools at your disposal to aid you in your struggle while navigating the rough and contaminated environment. Stay undetected and gather all the evidence you can to piece together events from the past.
