'Truck Driver' (ALL) Gets New Developer For Post-Launch Content - Trailer

by Rainier on Oct. 4, 2019 @ 10:00 a.m. PDT

In Truck Driver you must build your career and become the most respected trucker around!

Climb in your cabin, rev up your engine and hit the road in Truck Driver!

Fuel up and cruise through a vast open world in one of the most beautiful machines known to man. Start off as a contractor and work your way up by taking on jobs, earning money and making a name for yourself amongst the local community. Buy your own trucks, get new parts and hurtle down the roads! Do you have what it takes to become a respected Truck Driver?

Unlike any other trucking experience, Truck Driver is completely focused on the career mode. By valuing the ‘game’ aspects over the ‘simulation’ aspects, SOEDESCO aspires to bring the fun-factor back into the trucking genre.

SOEDESCO announced their collaboration with development studio Kokku to work on Truck Driver post-release support for the game.

Kokku has experience working on triple A titles such as Horizon Zero Dawn and Sniper Ghost Warrior 3. Moreover, their team consists of people who have worked on franchises like Gears of War. Hans van Brakel, Executive Manager at SOEDESCO, “Kokku shares the same vision we have and they are committed to making that a reality. This move will expand the opportunities for Truck Driver in the long term.”

Thiago de Freitas, CEO of Kokku is delighted to share the news as well. "We're beyond excited to join forces with SOEDESCO for Truck Driver. We're going to bring our expertise as a AAA developer to meet community expectations and deliver the experience they deserve. It's going to be a long journey together so, make sure to fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride!"

Over the past months, SOEDESCO has been collecting feedback from the Truck Driver community. This has already resulted in, for example, the implementation of steering wheel support. For now, the main focus of SOEDESCO and Kokku is fixing the remaining issues, after which they will work on much requested feedback such as map expansion, traffic, more trucks, better AI and more.

The trucking experience will continue to receive updates that are in line with the vision of SOEDESCO and the community.

Key Features:

  • Enjoy a trucking experience focused on your career as a truck driver
  • Build stronger relationships with the local community with each job
  • Customize your truck with tons of parts and tune it to your liking
  • Explore a vast open world and watch it progress with you
  • Navigate through beautiful landscapes and fully explorable cities.

Truck Driver is available both digitally and physically for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC (Steam).
