Phantom: Covert Ops kicks off in 1991. In the wake of the Cold War, intelligence indicates a significant force consolidating at an inaccessible former Soviet naval facility off the coast of the Black Sea.

You are a Phantom: an elite and deadly covert operative with a single night to prevent all-out war. Dispatched into remote, hostile wetlands in your tactical kayak, utilise military-grade weapons and equipment to evade and neutralise the enemy threat. Immerse yourself in a gritty and authentic arena of war across an intense campaign in VR. Engage your targets lethally or infiltrate unnoticed from within the shadows: it’s your mission to execute your own way.

As the threat emerges from the shadows, it becomes clear you have a single night to prevent an attack that will create global repercussions.

The game encourages you to approach every enemy encounter in your own way across an explosive campaign of missions with diverse objectives. Feel like sneaking silently in the watery shadows whilst causing distractions to create a clear path through hostile territory? Go for it! Alternatively, ambush enemies head on by setting explosives and using the sniper rifle. It’s your mission to undertake as you see fit.

We have been a little stealthy recently with everything Phantom: Covert Ops. But like all good stealth operatives, we’ve been quietly cooking up something in the shadows…Introducing Phantom: Covert Ops running on Oculus Rift for the very first time!

Gameplay is identical on both platforms, however we wanted to make the most out of each headset’s unique strengths. So, whilst we’re delighted with how the game looks on Quest, the additional power of the PC allows for a visually enhanced take on the same game.

In addition, we’re pleased to confirm the game will support both Oculus Link and Cross Buy on release!

Everyone at nDreams has been overwhelmed by the response and awards Phantom has received since we announced it. It’s been fantastic to see how many people are excited by the game, and we’re committed to delivering the best stealth-action experience possible in VR.

In order to do this, we’ve decided to move our release date into 2020, and we’ll be announcing more about this in the coming months. In the meantime, we appreciate everybody’s patience - we promise it will be worth the wait.
