Rayman Legends retains the fantasy appeal of its predecessor while adding a multitude of clever and entertaining gaming modes, new characters, new environments and a new soundtrack.

Following Rayman Origins, our heroes take a 100-year nap, allowing nightmares to infest the Glade of Dreams. Once Rayman awakes from this mysterious sleep, he must set off on a new adventure with his friends to restore order in the universe.

While traveling between five different worlds, players must defeat legendary enemies to save the Teensies from these evil villains. Rayman Legends features a wide range of gameplay, including traditional Rayman platforming action and new music rhythm-based stages.

Rayman Legends features a variety of uniquely-themed levels, including several musical maps set to creative soundtracks and a spooky, medieval theme. Players also can connect online with friends for a variety of challenges that test their skill and speed, and can see where they rank on the worldwide leaderboards.

Once Rayman Legends, the current free game on the Epic Games Store, have run its course, it will be up to Jotun, which will be gratis starting on December 5 until Dec. 12, 2019.

Jotun is a hand-drawn action-exploration game set in Norse Mythology.

Explore vast regions of Norse purgatory to find runes to unleash the jotun, massive Norse elementals. Fight them using only your massive two-handed axe, the blessings of the Gods and your warrior skills!

In Jotun, you play Thora, a Viking warrior who died an inglorious death and must prove herself to the Gods to enter Valhalla. The Viking culture is based on valor. This means that you don’t reach Valhalla, their version of Heaven, by being a good person. You only get in if you accomplished valorous deeds in life. Cowardice is one of the biggest sins in Viking culture and cowards go straight to Hel (you guessed it, their version of Hell). For Jotun, we took the liberty of adding another layer to the Norse afterlife: Purgatory, a place where a select few have a second chance to reach Valhalla by overcoming impossible trials.

Jotun is a game about epic boss fights. The game has five different giants, each one with their own region and levels to explore. Every jotun has different powers and strategy. For example, Isa, the Winter jotun, offers a melee based fights. This fight is about timing and using the environment to help you. Hagalaz, the Storm jotun, summons a “bullet hell” of lightning attacks and dodging is as important as attacking. The most important thing about Jotun’s bosses is scale. They feel impossible to beat, a true David versus Goliath endeavor.

Another key aspect of Jotun is exploration. Each level in Jotun is filled with secrets, so exploring every nook and cranny always pays off. For example, each level hides a rune that must be found in order to unlock the boss fights. Jotun’s levels are really diverse. While some levels (especially in the Winter region) are vast and lonely, some levels are puzzle-based and others have combat. Every level in Jotun is inspired by a story from Norse mythology. From the dwarven city of Brokkr’s Forge to the frozen rivers of Nifheim, every region pays tribute to Viking legends.

The game retains the fantasy appeal of its predecessor, Rayman Origins, while adding a multitude of clever and entertaining gaming modes, new characters, new environments and a new soundtrack. The award-winning team of artists, designers and composers have also returned with an advanced UbiArt engine to include multi-dimension gameplay elements, an improved lighting system and updated game rendering that elevate Rayman's previous graphics to the next level.
