'Days of War' (ALL) Shows Off New Content, Kicks Off Closed Beta Weekend - Trailer

by Rainier on Dec. 13, 2019 @ 10:43 a.m. PST

Days of War invites WWII shooter fans to join up with their friends and construct their favorite battle scenes/bases, then play them out in the style of classic competitive shooters.

Players can choose to play as the Americans or the Germans with up to 32 others. The Russian and British forces will be added as free expansion in the near future.

The battles are objective based such as the game mode Domination; where players fight over 5 flags in successive order, and Detonation; where one side has to place explosives on a number of predetermined locations, with each success adding time to the game clock.

Soldiers can take the role of Marksman, Rifleman, Assault, Support, Specialist, Shotgunner, Machine Gunner, Sniper or Rocket Soldier, with each faction having their own unique weapons. Each class has their own strengths and weaknesses, so players will need to work together to get the most out of their chosen role.

FPS players need to fall back on their marksmanship, skill, map awareness and tactical cunning. Like in true WW2 warfare, combat in Days of War is brutal, unforgiving and requires extensive teamwork.

In Days of War, bullets are what matter, not kill-streaks, not wall jumps, and certainly not drone strikes ordered from iPads.

Starting today people can get an early hands-on with the game via a special Closed Beta weekend (Dec 13-15).

Players can sign up for the Closed Beta today at the official website, and can also wishlist on Steam.

Graffiti Games and Driven Arts have released a new trailer that showcases never-before-seen maps, the map editor for the first time, and more, while also giving an overview of the game and its features for launch.

Key Features:

  • Frenetic Action. High damage, high recoil, and short respawn times keep it fast paced with high consequence.
  • All Weapons Unlocked. Carry a bolt action rifle, SMG, shotgun or deployable MG, right away, no leveling or grinding required to play.
  • Immersive WW2 Battles. We've used the latest technology including photogrammetry, laser scanning, motion captured soldier animations, and the power of UE4 to bring you a truly next gen WW2 shooter.
  • Objective Based Game Modes. It's not just about the best K/D ratio, its about pushing the line, securing the objective, or destroying the target.
  • Full Server Control. Dedicated servers with full in-game administration abilities, tune the experience for you and your clan.
  • Classic competitive FPS combat:  marksmanship, skill, knowledge of the map and tactical cunning is your path to victory
  • Team based combat roles : 9 well defined classes, over 20 weapons, each with distinct strengths and weaknesses
  • Realistic battlefield variety: from tight city streets to wide open beaches, to foliage rich forests, all with a variety of weather conditions and times of day

Days of War will be releasing in January 2020 for PC (Steam), with the exact date still to come, followed by PS4 and Xbox One versions at a later time.
