Wargaming UK represents an evolution of Wargaming’s network, which extends to over 4500 employees across 18 network locations.
The studio has grown to 60 people over the last year. But Wargaming UK’s growth does not stop there, with Studio Head Sean Decker looking to double in number over the next year.
“We are in a unique position – we have the backing of a global company, AND we have autonomy over our own creative direction – it’s really exciting. We are proud to be a part of Wargaming’s enduring legacy, as well as its reputation as a great company to work for. We want to continue building this quality across our UK team, with 30 positions currently open for application. We really believe that we can be the best place to make games in the UK” said Sean.
“For Wargaming, the UK studio is a really exciting step in our expansion – and we are looking forward to releasing information on their new project. It is going to be big. It was a pleasure to celebrate with the team, and we are looking forward to watching them create something special,” said Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi.
The launch event also saw the studio host a 48 hour game jam, which pitted teams against each other – vying for the top spot in the eyes of the experienced panel of judges.
