'KartRider: Drift' (ALL) Enters Closed Beta Today

KartRider: Drift is a cross platform free-to-play kart racing game that delivers intuitive gameplay for all skill levels.

Building upon its celebrated 15-year history, KartRider: Drift delivers all the action of its predecessor with even more drift challenges and deeper customization.

Offering wide customization features across karts and character design, KartRider: Drift encourages racers to express their unique personality as they cross the line.

KartRider: Drift offers three distinct modes, including Time Attack, an easy-to-learn Item Mode, and a competitive Speed Mode, which offers hard-to-master drifting techniques for players looking for a greater challenge. Featuring stunning Unreal Engine 4 graphics, KartRider: Drift is optimized from the ground up to deliver a stellar online experience, with a breadth of content lined up, including constantly evolving seasonal updates.

KartRider: Drift begins Closed Beta testing today on Steam, Nexon Launcher, and Xbox One.

Players accepted into the Closed Beta can enter starting Thursday, December 5 at 5pm PST until Sunday, December 8 at 5 pm PST.

During the Closed Beta period, players will get to choose from different characters such as Dao, Bazzi, Brodi, and an array of colorful kart options. As players enter the Closed Beta, they will enjoy customizing their characters and karts with different boosters, wheel types, and more showing off their personality as they cross the finish line.

Three specific game modes will be made available during the Closed Beta test period including Speed Mode, Item Mode and Time Attack Mode. 

  • Speed Mode is a highly competitive mode within the game that prepares players for the art and skill of drifting. 
  • Item Mode is perfect for new players looking to familiarize themselves with the controls as they use various items in order to get ahead of opponents within the race, including objects such as mines, clouds, UFOs and more. 
  • Time Attack Mode is for players looking to improve their time and skills as they race against their own shadow to beat their previous record. 

KartRider: Drift Closed Beta will be available across different regions worldwide, including North America, Europe, Oceania, and Korea. For console players, KartRider: Drift will be available everywhere with the exception of Korea, Japan, China, and Taiwan. 

Originally launched in 2004, KartRider is a kart racing game developed by Nexon, which has since generated over 380 million players on PC in Asia.

KartRider: Drift is in development for Xbox One and PC (Steam), scheduled for 2020.
