Kursk will be the first proper adventure-documentary game in history. It will tell the tragic story of the submarine that sank to the bottom of the Barents Sea on August 12, 2000 with all 118 crew members on board. The exact cause of the disaster still remains unknown. The plot of the game will be mostly based on facts, thanks to which players will have the opportunity to learn more about the dramatic story of the vessel.
The main mechanics and aspects of the game include internal policies, the economy, diplomacy, a unique event system, warfare, espionage, and engaging missions. The results of the player’s decisions will be strongly affected by the moral choices they make during gameplay.
This v3.0 update comes with a new gameplay mechanic and improved optimization.
Players can now experience quite a challenge to hack into the submarine’s cabins and computers as sailors will now patrol their respective sections. Additionally, Kursk’s optimization has been drastically enhanced and players can now expect improvement when navigating the vessel.
With the current Steam Lunar Sale, players interested in the game are in luck as Kursk has got a 40% discount. The sale is available until February 11. Apple users should be satisfied as a couple of days ago Kursk has also been released on the Mac.
Kursk is currently available on PC, with the consoles version to be available in the first half of 2019.
