'Worbital' (ALL) Free Demo Available On Steam

by Rainier on Feb. 8, 2019 @ 12:00 a.m. PST

Worbital is a strategic deep-space artillery game that promises to ignite the solar system with a unique blend of long-range combat and cosmic chaos.

A spiritual follow-up to Team Jolly Roger’s last game Interplanetary, Worbital takes the premise of flinging artillery across the solar system and amps it up with real-time strategy combat and gleeful destruction.

Players will command planets that bristle with gigantic guns and lasers, exotic fortifications like planetary shields, and even maniacal doomsday weapons such as the World Rammer. They will need these in the ever-shifting battlefield of a star system, where a foe can be worlds away one moment and right in your orbit the next. With both online and local multiplayer, as well as skirmishes versus AI, the potential for pandemonium is limitless.

Team Jolly Roger has made an online demo available for their real-time interplanetary artillery game Worbital.

Starting today, gamers can play a portion of Worbital’s unique brand of cosmic chaos for free! Demo players can join all the other players in quickplay online matches, but with a limited arsenal of weapons.

Shrewd Worbital gamers can check out the demo and pick it up before the sale runs out!

Key Features:

  • Interplanetary Artillery Warfare — Engage in real-time planet-to-planet cannonade in a shifting solar system, with the gravity as your ally… or enemy.
  • Preparation, Building, Tactics — Plan your loadout, build and upgrade weapons ranging from simple railguns to planet-derailing World Rammers.
  • Planetary Destruction — Aim and fire your artillery through space to chip away at enemies’ planet surface, reveal their core and blow it up.
  • Hype-Filled Obliteration — Wage orbital war against AI or challenge your friends in Online and Local Multiplayer (controller required for Local).
  • Cosmic Chaos — Survive as chunks of exploding planets, asteroids and other celestial objects threaten your planet, with explosive chain reactions eventually destroying the sun itself!

Worbital is currently available on PC (Steam) for $19.99, with a PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch version to follow later this year.
