'Goat of Duty' Kicks Off 2nd Closed Beta Weekend

by Rainier on May 17, 2019 @ 3:44 p.m. PDT

Goat of Duty is the fast-paced multiplayer shooter where you can be a goat armed to the horns in relentless deathmatch as you bleat and troll your friends, wear the craziest goatstumes, and test your skills in the quirkiest FPS to become the GOAT of goats!

In the grim darkness of the distant future, there are only goats.

It all started with a freak nuclear accident that gave all goats the necessary intelligence to quickly overthrow their human owners with their powerful rams, high jumps, and ear-blowing bleats. No, wait, that wasn’t it. The goats were intelligent from the very beginning, but since they had no thumbs, they waited patiently for humanity to develop automated robots capable of producing what they needed in order to... No, that doesn’t work either. In an alternate universe, goats are the mightiest warriors of the...

OK, look, we admit it. There’s no lore here. You are a goat. You’re armed to the teeth (well, the horns). There are other goats out there who want to kill you. It’s as simple as that. Now go out there and show 'em what you’ve goat.

Want to know more about Goat of Duty?

Goat of Duty is a fast-paced and intense multiplayer first-person shooter, and that’s pretty much all you need to know. No nonsense: no need to master a convoluted metagame, learn different characters, combine skills, strategic team play... just devilish combat arenas, powerful weapons, and fast-paced action. Well, and lots of silly humor, crazy goatstumes (skins), and goat mechanics for you to troll your friends to your heart’s content!

Last week, 34BigThings and Raiser Games held the first closed beta for Goat of Duty, a fast-paced shooter with the most insane of all animals: yes, you are right, goats! The studio is so happy with the reception of the game that a second beta will take place as soon as this very weekend. Yes! You wanted more goats? We're giving you more goats!

So, you asked for it, they bleat for it and we love to please everybody, so… we are happy to announce that Goat of Duty will have a second closed beta from May 17th at 4 pm CEST / 10 am EST until May 20th at 7 pm CEST / 1 pm EST. Buckle up, because you are in for a wild ride! But news never come alone, so we are pleased to announce that our Discord channel will open at the same time to celebrate the beta release!

Buckle up, because you are in for a wild ride!

For the moment, all we can share with you is that you will need to join our Discord channel. Why? Honestly, it is the place where all the madness starts (and it’s also the place to get your invite for the beta). Chat with some fellow goat lovers? Check. Organize in teams to destroy those foul-mouthed horned beasts? Check. And, besides, it is a great hub to be updated with everything that’s going on before the game launches: you will have access to regular updates from the developers, tips & tricks as well as getting to know the best players in the game.

What will you find in this beta? For the moment, just a peek at what you will experience in Goat of Duty. Players will have access to five goatstumes (Robogoat, Goat of War, Goatzilla, Overgoat and Inmortangoat) and the free for all mode in three different maps (Future Farm, Mountains in Space and Space Station). Each of these locations has different sizes and players will have to adapt to them in order to be the GOAT, pun intended.
